Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Can someone explain me how the technology works ?

I mean, the access to the server is the same through all places. How is it, that when i go to crowded places, where some dude places his lure module, i can't get shit done, the game crashes and i can't login.

This is especially stupid, because that's the place where the good Pokemons are.

Has this been posted yet?

Can someone explain how to get +1000 cp ??

not every kind of pokemon can reach 1000+
the ones that do need to be leveled up with stardust
but don't do that early on, if you level your character you will find higher level pokemon to catch, so the stardust will be wasted

Can you find / receive lucky eggs, or do you have to buy them? I'm level 6 and have a couple of Pokemon ready to evolve, but no lucky eggs and no coins.

Three things I dislike about this game:

- It occasionally freezes when I catch a Pokemon, forcing me to reboot the entire app, which causes me to lose that Pokemon in the process. Very annoying.

- It has frequent data retrieval issues that, again, force me to reboot the app.

- It takes at least 30 seconds to load. Ain't nobody got time for that. I can't tell you how many Pokestops I missed while on the bus because the damn app wouldn't load fast enough.

I love Pokemon Go but it has some incredibly aggravating issues. I'm playing on an iPhone 6+ btw.

Using an iPhone 4S, the game crashes immediately after loading even if I'm not moving or interacting with the phone in any way. Feelsbadman, jaypeg

you will get some as rewards for levelups
I am not sure you can get them from pokestops

I saw one by my house when I was like lvl7-8. It was 449 which probably isn't even that great but it was full red and I never got close to catching it.
I am level 4-5 now , maybe I need to reach level 7-8 like you to find more powerful pokemons like Charizard , thank you for giving me some hope

I can't see any Pokémons in the "nearby" list but they still appear when I get close to their spawn location. Anybody had this?

Just saw a local restaurant with a sign that reads "pokemon inside are for paid customers only"

Nintendo could actually make a killing if they let businesses to have legendaries catchable in their store.

It's pouring outside and all 4 of my gyms just got taken :|||

I feel you. Had 4 gyms couple hours ago, Im at work and its raining a lot. I check my status at lunch break, 0 gyms pfffff.

The game is not out here officially and its a city of 50k people. Yesterday I saw 2 cars parking next to a gym and 6 fellas started training it to make it hella strong. I was impressed but also jelly cause I will never find someone to do such madness with me

Can two people from different teams work together to take down a gym? How does that system work?

every gym has a prestige level
trainers of the same color will raise prestige if they attack the gym (it's called training then)
enemy trainers will lower prestige if they attackt he gym
everoyne does that for himself in realtime

so yes, the other 2 teams can team up against an enemy gym.
whoever is faster can then place his pokemon the gym

Is there any benefit to claiming a gym even if you know it's likely going to be beaten by another team within 24 hours?

Claim a few gyms and collect the coins then. If you do that once a day it's a steady stream of coins. Not really worth the effort though since 30 coins is 30 cents.

you do not need to hold a gym for 21 hours
that's a cooldown

claim as many gyms as you can and you can claim your rewards instantly, then the cooldown starts

Edit: ^ Thanks for the tips.

Is there a type of incense that lures a more informative professor to your tips page? lol

You'll still get the daily bonus for having a Pokémon in a gym, so yeah.
Ahh ok. Well I made the bad choice then of spending 20 minutes evolving and transferring candy and shit to try and get a better gym-ready Pokemon when I guess I should have just raced over to the gym and claimed it. Although I can't think why it became unclaimed and not reclaimed (it was already a red gym).

Is the gym locked when someone is battling? Otherwise you're both attacking the gym's prestige, so kind of yes.
Awesome, so we just have to get the gyms prestige down to zero and one of us can grab it then?

Reason I'm asking is because valor basically owns our town and I met a few people from both mystic and instinct who want to help try and take them down.

Guys,

I haven't played a proper video game since this came out. I've been walking and exercising and am actually not breaking a sweat while doing it now. I've been socializing with people at parks instead of being reclusive.

Help.

Sounds awful. Use a car to get everywhere and when people try to speak to you, ignore them.

The trick for these big outside levels is to ignore NPCs.

It's just like the stories say... It's early in the morning, and yet the most random Pokemon decide to show up 3 "steps" away outside...

I'm not going out, but I wonder why that is? Just checked and there's a random Omanyte, Staryu, and Magikarp around, in an area where I mostly just get the usual commons :/

I will visit next week my Father in Alentejo (i´m living in Germany), hope in the small village is at least one pokestop :(

Awesome, Alentejo is awesome especially this time of the year!
How do the pokestop locations work, exactly? Are they placed randomly throughout the world, or is a developer placing Pokemon in specific places of Google maps?
