So good. Something about Taylor Swift rubs me the wrong way

Well I can't recall where but some of her classmates at high school posted how she was a "bitch and a cocky girl" during all high school and that she was not the angel protrayed by her marketing team, in fact she was "mean with most people", something along those lines.

This thread isn't fun anymore.

Goodbye.

Yeezus > MBDTF > TLOP > LR > 808 > Grad > TCD

just gave y'all the official objective rankings so there's no need to go down this road

I ain't sorry

MBDTF > Yeezus = 808s > LR > TCD = Pablo > Graduation

Now that the Kanye cycle is out of the way, this is some really entertaining shit tonight.

Bless up, music gods, for this unholy spawn of Gaf-hop, KTT, and Pop-Gaf's core interests.

Why do people say "stan" instead of "fan"? Is this a recent change?

Stan = all albums on rotation, following artist closely, awaiting upcoming release rabidly, eating up any information you can find on the next project

Fan = ok yeah they make good music, I like them

I like to think TLOP was a PR stunt too, and they sucked you in and made you believe it was good. He's good at this. Pity it's doesn't translate.

I haven't even heard the album and aside from his singles, I haven't heard any of his albums.

You, however, are so deep in the sauce that you can't even accept facts anymore.

Anyway, I should probably listen to the advice of others and stop feeding you.

For two pages now, I have asked for evidence of when she heard the bitch line, and nobody can offer any. I'm not the one denying facts.

Sorry to ruin the circle-jerk, but come on.

Kanye is an asshole and he has owned that many of times... But this time, he certainly wasn't being one. He even had enough RESPECT to approve her line before he added it in because he didn't want any problems... But she fed him to the wolves as soon as that phone call ended. Kanye takes his L's all the time because he isn't afforded the luxury of having anyone defend him. Its time for Taylor to take hers. She lied.

SPILL IT

Taylor literally tried to use her white privilege here to build her image on the back of a black guy and make money. Not on tonight.

The facts are that the specific word "bitch" and Swift approving said word are not in the video. If her contention is that she wasn't cool with that word being used, the case is closed. She can also easily spin "he never called me" to mean "he never called me about calling me a bitch", along with being fine about everything else except that word.

Read this post carefully:

Nobody cares what you're asking for.

Because this does not change the fact that Taylor initially lied about the call even taking place.

You don't get to move the goal posts after being caught in a bold faced lie to save face.

You're sinking to some Mariana Trench levels of simping, my friend.

I'm out. This is where it just gets way too delusional for me.

Interesting debate. Bring some evidence next time guys.

That's the worst bit of this. That she listens to Kendrick. hes a spud and almost as overrated as Kanye.

Didn't see this, yea.... your opinions on anything have been thrown out the window.

A guy who stans Taylor Swift calling someone else overrated. HA!

I'm done entertaining the troll tonight.

Also, why was someone Shapchatting the conversation, only to splice them together for a big reveal? Is this a tribute to YouTube jumpcuts or something?

She quotes the line that the word bitch is contained in but omits calling herself a bitch.

And even if she had gotten every other single line BUT the bitch part, she still lied about Kanye ever calling and asking for her approval.

She completely moved the goalpost. You even admit that she can spin her bullshit, so why are you defending said bullshit?

I honestly don't get what you're arguing for.

Mate, you just took this into the realm of race. I'm not the one diving into the abyss on this. I think it's completely unwarranted.

What are you even talking about ? This isnt even about winning and loosing but just being honest about how things went down. T made it look like Kanye didnt run the song/idea by him and played the victim knowing that the public would believe her any and they love to paint Kanye as the villain in the story. When in fact he called her in person and asked if she was cool with it.......

People were okay to shit on Kanye when it looked like he was being an ass gain, now that the picture is more clear everyone wants to dismiss the whole conversation and downplay it...lol

People literally said Kanye won in this thread. Aside from that lots of praise for him; that's what I'm referring to. And he still made that trash ass song; so I really don't care whose ass he kissed before he released it.
I'm absolutely fine with anyone shitting on him for the song either way.

In the end he manufactured gossip; after marrying into a family that manufactures gossip for a living. It's funny and all that and I'm entertained but I'll never understand the actual hip-hop fans endless praise of the dude. Part of the hilarity for me in the end is how seriously his fans take him and how seriously he takes himself.

I don't have a problem with what the Kardasians do for a living; more power to them. Hell more power to Kanye to; but from a hip hop perspective he's a fucking clown IMO.

You're talking about specific facts as if this were being held in a court of law. This video wouldn't hold up. What appears to be bullshit to you could easily appear to not be bullshit at all depending on what Swift says about it. It's not a smoking gun is all I'm saying.

If she never heard the word "bitch" in the lyrics then which part of the lyrics did she find misogynistic? Because her PR team wants everyone to believe she warned Kanye about the misogynistic lyrics during that phone call. Like I said earlier:

I think Taylor Swift and her PR team are doing some real mental gymnastics to protect her clean image. Everything she says in the video is supportive of Kanye and the song, She even says she would publicly dispel any outcry but when the song was released she did the exact opposite. Did you listen to how many times she said she appreciated the call and thanked him? That doesn't sound like someone who is offended by lyrics they may or may not have heard. Anyways, if she never heard the "I made that bitch famous" line, which she seems to refer specially to in the video, then which part of the lyrics did she find misogynistic? Presumably the only other line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" which she clearly says she doesn't mind in the video. So...

The issue is that she denied the conversation ever happening. The video proves Kanye did it with the hope that Taylor would be cool with it. She was completely out of line to try trashing him like that, even if he did call her a bitch.

"Yeah you can say you'd fuck me, but I draw the line at you calling me a bitch."

Rappers call everyone bitches. Get your head out of the sand.

I liked Red by Taylor Swift but all the fallouts she has and its always her the victim you could tell it was never coincidence.

Good to see this come to light, she is really digging a hole for herself.

Kim is a shrewd woman but reckon it was her mum who told her when to release it for publicity for her show.

Either way thank you K and K.

Mate, you just took this into the realm of race. I'm not the one diving into the abyss on this. I think it's completely unwarranted.

If you don't believe that race plays a role in how easily Taylor was able to demonize Kanye here, and why she KEPT UP THE LIE even after he revealed the existence of the tape weeks ago, then you're incredibly naive.

If you don't believe that race plays a role in how easily Taylor was able to demonize Kanye here, and why she KEPT UP THE LOW even after he revealed the existence of the tape weeks ago, then you're incredibly naive.

That has more to do with Kanye being an actual asshole and Taylor portraying this good girl image imo.

I don't believe it does, no. I mean, she DOES have historical reason to dislike him dating back to 2009...

So because she can possibly squirm herself out, it means that she isn't lying about something that she clearly lied about?

Just because she can possibly bullshit some of her fans into believing her doesn't mean she isn't bullshiting.

I honestly have no idea what you're even arguing for or against.

This is a transcript from how the conversation went down

“And I'm really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me that as a friend, about the song. It's just a really cool thing to do, a really good show of friendship. So thank you. And you know, if people ask me about it, I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me about the line before it came out. Joke's on you guys, we're fine.’ You guys wanna call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade, but right after the song comes out, I'm gonna be on a Grammy red carpet and they're gonna ask me about it, and I'm gonna be like, ‘He called me.’ It's…awesome that you're so outspoken and it's gonna be like, ‘Yeah, she does, it made her famous!’”

"Yeah, she does. It made her famous.' Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex…' It's doesn't matter to me. There's not like one [line] that hurts my feelings and one that doesn't."

She had an advancement of the song, she heard the song, and she fully knew about it.

There is no mention of the "bitch" line tho, I'm sure the logical pathway your narrow mindset will go through is to ask yet again for it I'm sure.

Is this the first time KanyeGAF and PopGAF have mixed so seamlessly with regularGAF?

KimK's Snapchat bringing all the factions on here to one thread.

This post might be the most cynical thing I've read in awhile.

Sorry, but we don't live in a society that has given me reason not to be.

I don't even like Kanye, but for her to cry foul when that man had the decency to call her for her permission and explain the song (I mean, did anybody think Kanye capable of that)? Nah bruh, she deserves to get dragged.

Yes, because there's nothing there. And she wasn't referring to the line. Sorry. She was responding to the narrative that the stage crash made her famous. You know it as well as I do.
