What you're doing can't be called having an opinion.

You have to acknowledge facts to have an opinion.

Coming from the bloke who accused Swift of having racial motives in this situation? And I'm the one light on facts?

It is my opinion. I think she makes good music. Personally, I don't think he does and I don't respect him for his past transgressions. That's all.

It's awesome that you're so outspoken about this and be like, ‘Yeah, she does. It made her famous.' Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex…' It's doesn't matter to me. There's not like one [line] that hurts my feelings and one that doesn't."

So why is everyone ignoring this part?

She makes generic pop albums that have never had universal acclaim, he changes his style on every album and nearly every album is critically acclaimed, you are objectively wrong in thinking she is better than him. Her whole persona is faked and has been exposed, Kanye is a dick but he admits it and owns it. Better to be a dick and admit it than be fake as fuck and cause problems secretly.

Still reading this thread but lmaooooooo, that is murderous.

She was responding to the narrative that the stage crash made her famous. You know it as well as I do.

I know I shouldn't be feeding the troll, but apparently you're the only person who knows that.

Do you really think that she coincidentally says "made her famous" during a conversation about a song featuring that very line? That she was referring to the narrative that the stage crash made her famous, but not the song featuring a line that refers to the same exact thing? That even after saying that line herself, she is somehow not cool with that line after the song is released?

You've been trying so hard to reach for an argument and this is what you've come up with? If you're so certain about this, and believe that it should be so obvious to everyone else, what would your opinion be if Taylor and Kanye's roles were reversed for all of this? Would you be team Kanye, or would you still be grasping for straws while trashing his entire discography in an effort to discredit him?

Even if your anecdotal summary was right (it's not) she's infinitely more popular and successful. Ouch, right?

I love the irony in the "talk about something that matters" and "public humiliation is not right" tweets. Taylors entire career has been about publically humiliating guys she used to date. And on top of that she is the one who first lied about the situation at the Grammys.

He descredited himself with the Cosby stuff, the stage crash, TLOP, marrying Kim, the bizarre behaviour, etc. There was nothing left for me to do.

To your initial question, yes. The narrative that he contributed to her success was well established years ago. Her uttering the words 'Made her famous' isn't even the lyrics to the song. It's 'I made that bitch famous'. That's why your argument holds no weight.

What makes them all horrible people? Including Kanye? He may be a putz at times but why is he horrible? None of the people involved I would quantify as horrible. It's this hyperbole that discredits your argument, sorry. Have some perspective.

Let me tell you about a group of people called the Republican Party...

I haven't really followed this thread all the way through, but quickly skimming through some pages gives me the impression this whole thing really exploded? What I think is funny is that the genesis of this whole thing can be traced back to Kanye interrupting Taylor at the MTV awards on stage all those years ago! Who would have thought seven years later people would be still talking about some issues surround Taylor and Kanye.

He discredited himself by marrying Kim? What a nice thing to say.

I knew it was coming and I still laughed. If my argument doesn't hold any weight then what was her speech at the Grammy's all about? Was it referring to "made her famous" or "I made that bitch famous"? In that case they're one in the same.

She uttered the words during the phone conversation because she was describing a hypothetical conversation in which the press ask her about the song.

You guys wanna call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade, but right after the song comes out, I'm gonna be on a Grammy red carpet and they're gonna ask me about it, and I'm gonna be like, ‘He called me.’ It's…awesome that you're so outspoken and it's gonna be like, ‘Yeah, she does, it made her famous!’”

The "it" that they ask her about is the song. Where in that paragraph does she stop talking about the song and refer to the actual VMA incident? I'll give you a hint, she doesn't. No, she doesn't outright say, "I made that bitch famous." She is still referring to the song when she says, "it made her famous". We know that because she is answering a hypothetical question about that very song. "It made her famous" is a reference to the line in the song.

I really can't break it down any easier than that. We know what she meant because the words are right there. Her exact words. You're letting your dislike of Kanye West get in the way of the facts that are right in front of you. Taylor lied, got called on it, and then she moved the goal post elsewhere. Be rational.

Laughable. You're stringing together pieces of information and trying to complete a puzzle, but you're missing so many pieces. She was clearly referring to the incident, not the line. And if she was referring to the line, why is there no video evidence of that, which is the smoking gun here? They recorded everything else. Why not the most important bit? You wanna know why? Because he didn't play it to her. Simple. Sorry, but I want to see receipts. Until then, keep swinging.

i can't believe i'm actually considering voting for this man in 2020

i hope trump ruins you when he runs for this second term kanye. messing with our queen taylor swift is war

It's prettyyyyyyyy funny and fucked up that Selena chose to die on this hill of all things to deflect this stuff from Taylor lmao. She legit was on some minion shit here taking a bullet for someone I could never see doing the same for her.

As for the main event, just confirmation of what has been rumored for a long time. Taylor shady as fuck.

Kanye a jackass for thinking that line would fly in the first place but this video just proves Taylor played the shit out of him damn.

I feel like both kanye and Taylor are making money off of this fake controversy. Playing y'all like a damn fiddle.

Yeah, the typical "Everything celebs do is manufactured PR, guys! Trust me, they're totally faking it!". Some people on here elevate celebs to scary, inhuman levels, where they don't have any real feelings, make any actual mistakes, and don't dispay non-calculated human emotions. Quite frankly, it's bizarre

Someone translate this for me.

He doesn't like Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston. They are never becoming Rihanna and Michael Fassbender in terms of fame/status/talent respectively. At least, that is how I read it. The reason Hiddleston is mentioned is because of an alleged romance between him and Swift, I think, had to google that.

I agree with that. It's insane. Not everything they do is carefully calculated. Not even the Kardashians.

We all know that Taylor is fake as fuck lmao. But this is very entertaining because of all the collateral damage. L's everywhere.

Poor Selena.
