I never see the same depths of racist/hateful shit on IG that I do on Twitter, but I do find it funny to see how quickly a social media giant reacts to dumb snake/rat emojis vs. racial slurs and death threats.

Well she is the biggest name in music with Adele by a good margin. And her brand and social media presence is insane. So having her instagram/Twitter flooded with pictures of snakes and shit is probably a turn off and people don't wanna see it. So they were just like "ban it"

Of course she only gets this special treatment because of her popularity which is largely reflected in her being white but yeah. I get why they did it. Too bad they wont ban outright racist shit.

TMZ broke the story, Taylor's lawyer threatened Kanye with prosecution for taping the call and Taylor Swift has been mulling over the option of filing a police report.

Here's the problem ... in California, if someone records a "confidential communication" and the other party to the conversation doesn't know it's being taped, it's a crime. But "confidential communication" does not include conversations that "may be overheard."

We've heard the full tape ... and Taylor knew she was overheard. The conversation from Kanye's end was on speaker phone, and during the call producer Rick Rubin speaks up several times. Members of the crew filming Kanye on the call also speak in the room.

It's good that Kanye actually let KIm drag T Swift instead of doing it from his end. This time she couldn't pull the big bad black man 'harassing' innocent white girl trick again. As it's a level playing field.

This is all disposable fuckery. But it's hilariously entertaining. Mean girl Swift eviscerated online.

It won't dent her popularity, but her good girl act is at an end now we know she's as nasty, cynical and shady as the worst of them.

The tape doesn't contradict her factually so far and if anything could help her. The tape so far shows that he recorded her call, didn't give her the full lyrics, didn't ensure she actually heard the song, and there's the very obvious possibility that the clip we saw was part of Kanye positioning a pitch for her to be in on releasing the song on her Twitter. Taylor is much safer right now despite the "she lied!!" yells.

He didn't let Kim do it. She did it to coincide with her show where they discuss the whole thing and to get more followers on her snapchat. Completely calculated to benefit Kim.

It wasn't aimed directly at her in that instance. It was in Famous. That's a key difference. She was also pissed that he didn't tell her about the line prior to publishing the song. Easy.

I think the biggest takeaway here is that Kim Kardashian promoted virtues such as

- honesty
- loyalty (had her man's back against everyone, true ride or die chick)
- honour (gave taylor an opportunity to set the record straight)

all while sexist media and the public have been trying to reduce her to her sex tape and paint her as stupid or a bad mother.

Kanye West should take some advice from Tay on presenting a clean and respectful image. That's why he's losing and why history will judge him so poorly. The bloke is just useless at PR and is constantly on the losing end of this media narrative. He and Kim are not fit to mow her lawn in this realm.

Even in this latest stoush, he has lost the narrative again. The media is largely on her side, rightly so, and it's just micro-communities like this one and hate-bloggers that are attempting to manufacture Kanye a win after years and years of his patented brand of fucking failure.

You can't even manage that.
