Is it actually a Nazi era cross? The German military still uses the cross, it's not a Nazi symbol and was used before the Nazi's even existed. The Nazi ones had swastikas and such added to the cross.

Not to say he isn't a jack ass who deserves this of course.

the bigger picture, in this case, is that twitter does very little to stop harassment. he has been temp banned for it before and even lost his verification. so twitter was aware of what he was doing they just didn't care that much about stopping it. and they still probably don't care. having a widely known celebrity harassed off of their service is bad optics.

your comparison of milo to political dissidents is disingenuous bullshit. he's a serial harasser who was using someone else's platform to foment and spread hate. it's not an issue of free speech.

Not sure, but the Bundeswehr Iron Cross looks different. But like I said, not 100% sure.
 
I'm glad they banned this sack of shit, but sad it took him and his little cadre of alt-right tossers targeting a highly visible and cultural prominent person like Leslie Jones to make it happen.

Milo should have been banned from Twitter years ago when he was still some small time douchebag, before he had a chance to become some sort of GamerGate brand ambassador.

It's tough to see if it is the Nazi version of the Iron Cross or the 1950s post-war de-Nazified one with some other symbol due to the low res. Nonetheless, today the one that is issued doesn't look like the style used in the Prussian military or Nazi Germany,

Still a cross but distinctly different.

In Germany and other countries in Europe, Nazi symbolism is banned, so now what Neo-nazis do is take over Prussian symbols or other symbols before Nazi Germany and associate it with themselves. That's why anyone who even uses the Prussia-era military Iron Cross which had no swastikas etc on is highly suspect because that's exactly what Neo-nazis are using since it's not technically banned. It's the same reason why they use this flag that they hijacked for their symbolism since they can't fly the Nazi flag with a swastika. There's another flag that has seldom been used but I can't find it right now (can't remember what it was called).

So while not specifically related to Nazi symbolism, neo-nazis use things like the old Iron Cross without Nazi symbols as a sort of legal loophole.

For e.g, just in the recent Euro 2016 football in France, here were neo nazi hooligans with the flag.

This is why anyone who uses old iron cross today, even without the nazi symbolism is 100% associated with neo-nazis since they hijacked Prussian symbolism.

Yeah, that's what I'm finding strange. Basically people who are responsible for creating games, sole goal of reaching the largest demographic possible, are basically telling women to go screw in defense of someone that has no input on the entire industry.
