I've noticed that my downloads won't start until I turn on the console and manually start them, too.

Okay so that post looks really bad but before we crucify (Well too late for that I guess) remember that Halo Waypoints stat tracking doesn't always work right.
My first playthrough of Halo 5 I think I played half of it online then had to go on a business trip to Chicago so I brought my Xbox with me and played it offline in the hotel. It said I beat the game on heroic but it only register 6 or 7 missions complete on waypoint.
For Example:
As you can see I have completed the game on Heroic
And here is an individual level detailing the time it took me to complete that level
But here is a level I clearly completed but it has no timestamp detailing how long it took me
I'm not saying he isn't full of shit (He probably is) but don't take Halo Waypoints word for gospel.

Well, his Xbox Live account was unlocking achievements five hours ago but his Halo 5 achievements only shows unlocked achievements through mission 6.

I wonder if they were testing the water for eventually making it free on GwG at some point. It would be a huge get for the service, and it would greatly increase the pool of potential req pack buyers.

I'd be surprised if we see Halo 5 GWG before 2020. They'll probably give away MCC in 2018 a few month before Halo 6, but not Halo 5.

That might not necessarily matter. Sometimes achievements fail to unlock. I once had a Lords of the Fallen achievement pop when I was playing Dark Souls 3 months later.

How many months later? I've had some achievements fail to pop for a couple of weeks but I also have a hard time believing that the Achievements for Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 10, Chapter 11, Chapter 12, Chapter 13, Chapter 14, Chapter 15, Beat the game (Easy) and Beat the game (Normal) all failed to unlock.
Really doubling down on the bullshit here mate just admit you fucked up an move on.
Took all the fastest times, rounded DOWN minutes and 5.58 hours.

Give him credit. He tried to find a profile as close to 4 hours as possible.
Update:
ya know, the more I look at it. under his main profile he played 2.5 hours and completed about a third of the campaign. now he says he played under a different profile that shows 6.5 hours. so if true he started the game and played a third of the way, quit and then played again from the beginning under a new profile???
Oh I get it, the other profile was used by somebody else....

That's not what we're talking about though. The discussion is on GusZamboni lying, Halo 5 being the game is irrelevant it could have been any game he lied about.
I'd love for either that or Bayonetta just so I can play it on Xbox One. The Xbox One controller has become a strong preference over the Xbox 360 controller for me (also elite, yum).

It's easily 6-7 hours on Normal (aka babby mode, I'm pretty sure you can't even die in that one) and I spent 18 hours finishing Legendary solo. It's not short and the levels are great aside from the stupid bosses. ODST is short as hell (we started Legendary co-op around 8pm and were done by midnight or so), this one is not.

How was solo legendary? I have done the other Halo's solo legendary, except for 3, and I was thinking of trying this but those damn warden fights are so hard I had to cheese them in coop.

The warden fights are really the worst part, I think I spent an entire evening on the triple warden fight near the end. Although, perhaps some strategies have since come out that help to make those parts easier.
Otherwise it's really not that bad, your teammates being able to revive you also helps a lot.

Walking into this thread expecting news on the August lineup, and seeing debate over the Halo 5 campaign length made me think it was leaked as a GwG title. Which would be crazy, but also a potentially okay move.

I would be down for that. One thing I really like about the campaign is that you can use platforming and level design to get you past some really tough parts. The platforms with the Phaetons section, my wife found a path through that so that we could basically skip all those fights. It was so cool.
