Donate and volunteer. It's all we can do now.All of the polls have been right when it comes to Trump.
Most of the Republican primary polls had him leading, but yet no body believed he would win the nomination. But he did
Hillary keeps getting plagued by bullshit scandals week after week, and it doesn't matter if they are false...the American people will eat that shit up.
Assange promised more leaks...so this shit show will continue and expect Trump to keep raising steadily..he will squeeze out every white vote there is to get and then some....don't forget the 10-15% of minorities with the same "fuck you I got mine" mentality that will also more than likely vote for the orange clown.
If we keep brushing the thought of a Trump presidency off, because for some reason we are certain it can't happen then we will be in for a big surprise this November.
My family and I are right on his chopping block.

You should look at some of the polling aggregates a bit more. This is a typical polling bump for him so far.On a normal day with no polling bump he's usually polling in the high thirties or low fourties. With a polling bump he moves to around 42% or 43% and drops again once the bump wears off.Sometimes after these bumps Hilary is able to get above 45% or even close to 50% at times.People do need to make sure they are not complacent in this election even though the chance of him winning is still pretty low because of his consistently poor performance in polls. The only way he can win right now is if third parties steal a ton of votes from Hilary. All of the polls have been right when it comes to Trump.

There is no October Surprise. There never has been but the right always threatens one. Remember the tape of Michelle Obama saying "whitey" or something? The proof that Barack Obama is a Muslim? The evidence that shows Hillary personally killed people in Benghazi? None of it exists but the right believes all of it exists.

I'm a Singaporean born Indian currently studying Film in America. I hope to make a career in America, a country that I knew I wanted to be a part of ever since I was a kid. I'm finanly here, studying in college, with friends who I finally feel comfortable with. With a loving American girlfriend.
And yet, if I don't shave for a week, people look at me funny. And those people are flocking to vote for Donald Trump and his "policies".
If and when I immigrate to America, it will not be illegal. But I don't want to be in a country fueled by hate, led by a man and his cult of followers propelled by anger and blind hatred.
So please, vote. I can't help myself in this regard, but you can help people like me.
Crash and bern at the roll call for starters! What's the schedule for today?
They eat it up because of her handling/responses. She LOOKS like she's hiding something whether she is or isn't.Hillary keeps getting plagued by bullshit scandals week after week, and it doesn't matter if they are false...the American people will eat that shit up.
I find it weird that many Sanders supporters don't understand that Sanders would be more effective with a Democrat President than a Republican.
Don't worry, he will continue to fight on and call dnc on Its shit. He has a megaphone now. His revolution will continue. He has already accomplished quite a bit. The Hillary supporters saying he wouldn't accomplish anything were 100 percent wrong. In fact, that is why you fight and fight to the end.
On this forum Sanders was completely misunderstood. He was called an egomaniac staying on the race for his own gain. He stayed and fought to get his ideas on the platform. As someone who voted for Hillary in 08, what she got out of staying to the end was different. It was a big cabinet position to strengthen her presidential run later. Sanders was demonized on this forum, when instead all progressives should be thanking him for having the courage to run against Clinton and pull the party to the left.
Now onto Sanders supporters. Also misunderstood here. Bernies personality was appealing but it was always about the ideas he was saying. That's why some of them turned on Warren and even Sanders himself. It was always the ideas, not the person. (As someone who hates Fanboyism #Imwithher or yaas Queen really rub me the wrong way ). A fair strategy for these folk is to keep asking Hillary to earn their vote all the way to November. Much like Sanders you keep fighting till the end and compromise when you have too. It's much more effective than the Obama strategy of giving half of the house away when you start negotiations. If Hillary thought she had all these voters in the bag, she would move harder right. A bit of tug from the left is not a bad thing. Of course, this is not saying this is what everyone will do, but if you find it hard to swallow the Hillary pill then consider this strategy. Notice how it ends with still voting at the end.

Be careful with Reddit. It's a bit of a poor barometer I think. The way Reddit works makes it quite easy for boisterous communities to effect what's on display. It's a mess there.Browsing through reddit these days really does make me feel scared/angry. Maybe they're the sane ones and I'm crazy for thinking a few (major/minor) flaws in a candidate makes her unelectable. I worry how much it represents the electorate, and how many really will vote to say "Fuck Hillary and the most progressive platform in DNC history because I feel it's all against me."
People think the candidate who's been a democrat for nearly fifty years being quietly, and not in a way that is any way legitimate rigging, favoured by that party, over someone who joined last year is corruption. They think because their ideal candidate isn't part of the race this year, to throw all the progress he made away for something as petty as their misplaced pride. And now people are piling on anything that supports their message, sometimes lacking in the critical thought to push through the bullshit.
I'm not sure this is all able to go away. Someone tell me these people are all a fringe, in a mass of subscribers, comments, and updates, that is more visible than is proportional. Please. Or else I'm not sure how we can get through to such a large chunk that just won't listen...

Still struggling with the fact 'Bernie of bust' is even a thing, I mean, is this the first election these people are following? Is politics so fractured that people refuse to vote or vote out of spite if their horse doesn't win the primaries? That's just so stunningly stupid. You can be disappointed but this is just cutting your nose off to spite your face.
Especially when the alternative isn't Romney or McCain it's Donald fucking Trump. I hope the United States doesn't jump the shark and all these people are just full of shit and/or will grow up within the next few months.
I know everyone is still riding high off that Michelle speech but the speech by Cory Booker was still a fireball in it's own right.

So much passion.
I enjoyed the post Bernie speech interviews on MSNBC. One girl was in tears and was implying he still has a chance in the call today. She also said how none of the people on today were Bernie people (which wasn't his Congressional supporter on earlier and then you also at least had Warren who is similarly progressive) and how it was insulting to put him on so late (meanwhile its actually a huge honor to have the keynote speech). Also every Sanders supporter was like "I believe and trust anything Bernie tells me' and when asked "Bernie says to believe him that Clinton is the best option, will you vote for her?" they all responded with a no and basically it's a feeling why it's a no. It does feel like a lot of spite that since Bernie lost they would rather not vote or vote 3rd party ignoring that both have a strong likelihood of getting Trump elected. Its like they can't see the forest for the trees.
You're right, I looked up the Swift Boat and they formed in may 2004, but ran the first ad literally the week AFTER the DNC 04. Man that was a pro organization
I feel like I drunk texted an ex in here last night I was drunk af. Good show though.
Off the top of my head, I think I'd say the Swift Boat ads were the most disgusting political ad campaign I've seen in my lifetime. How the fuck could anyone disrespect or insult another American's service in Vietnam? I don't care if they were just there to clean the bathrooms, if you went over into that meat grinder, you deserve gratitude. The fact that those ads were made to support a president who never even served is doubly vile.
Well there's no reason to denigrate those who serve, but Vietnam was itself a disgusting and unnecessary war.
The point of the ads wasn't to attack the veracity of the war, though, it was to insult the service of someone who went over there.
Disclaimer:
For the record, because this is GAF, no I'm not voting for Trump or 3rd parties - I'm just trying to put some perspective on what I quoted above. I feel if I don't say this I'll get blasted for shit I never said. Also, this is my perspective and anecdotal based loosely on interactions with people who feel they have to support Hillary by default but aren't happy about it. Sad I have to put a disclaimer but I see how the Hillary die-hards here attack people.
im worried that he will get heckled,Will watch Bill today. Fantastic speaker.
Serious question, how much of the media spotlight is on the Bernie-Booers over the actual convention?
Fox news is a given but what about everyone else?

im worried that he will get heckled,
Bill has the habbit of giving two types of responses when heckled:
a) he asks them what issue, then says his thoughts on it
b) confronts them by calling them rude for interrupting

Bernie or Bust crowd attracted a lot of attention early on, but I think the primetime speakers ended up taking the spotlight back, particularly Michelle and Bernie.
Michelle literally rewrote the narrative
Before: https://twitter.com/NYDailyNews/status/757739180424368128
After: https://twitter.com/NYDailyNews/status/757774271221563392
it seems like Michelle's speech & Bernie's full throated endorsement are -rightfully- stealing the spotlight
