Trump 'hopes' Russia will hack US government for Hillary emails.

Hopefully the small government types throw their support behind Gary Johnson. Here's hoping he gets 15%. I just can't believe these two assholes (Trump & Clinton) are the major party candidates. What a fucking disaster.

It'll be a miracle if Johnson gets 5% during the actually election, come on now.

Someone should ask him about a fictional problem in a fictional country, to see if he cottons on or just goes "Yes, we'll look into that".

Like "Could the anti-government protests in Chazwikistan lead to a civil war and should the US take action in resolving it"?

"Mr. Trump, what are your thoughts on the strict immigration legislation currently in place in glorious Arstotzka?"

Yep.

If you watched that video, and your first thought is of treason, you probably have a problem understanding context.

I believe that most people talking about treason do not mean it seriously, but rather poking fun at the talk of treason by Hillary from Republicans. It's just like telling Trump he has small hands, it's fun to make them come to the defense of his statements.

Trump is still acting like he's on a reality show where he can just say outrageous things to appeal to a certain audience and get ratings.

The problem is he's so loose with his words that he's making treasonous statements either incidentally or by design. Very reckless and at some point it's going to have consequences.

Trump has been able to get away with making crazy watergate-esque statements because he's seen not as a standard politician so he's not held to the same standards. But now that he's the official Republican nominee, he can only get away with these type of statements for so long. Especially when he does seem to have a thin skin, at some point I think government officials will wonder if he's capable of keeping things in perspective or will he use his power for retribution and personal vendettas.

If I was a Republican in Congress, I would be running scared. At least if Hilary gets elected, they can galvanize their grassroots and conservative media similar to the Bill Clinton and Obama years.

Imagine if Trump had that power. The world would be a better place. 😔

We need to give Trump that power come November. We have to do it in order to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain 😡

oh man anime trump fan is such a funny joke especially when the future of our country is at stake ha ha ha ha ha

"Could the anti-government protests in Chazwikistan lead to a civil war and should the US take action in resolving it"?

“Look, civil wars are a big mess. Very, very messy. And someone is causing that mess. It needs to be dealt with. Who’s going do it, you? No, the Chazwikistani know what’s best for their own country, just as we do for ours. So, here’s my plan: we find out who is making the mess. And we clean it up. All of it, wiped. We can’t have mess in our backyard.”

"Mr. Trump, what are your thoughts on the strict immigration legislation currently in place in glorious Arstotzka?"

“I’ve heard from many people that Arstotzka is not a good place for business. It could be. Laws get in the way of business, all the time. We’re changing that, right here. And other countries will take notes. We’re the example. An amazing example. They can follow or get out of our way. Nobody wants to talk about Arstotzka when we’re done.”

"Mr. Trump, what is your position on Wakanda ceasing all international vibranium trade?"
“I’d send Carl Ichan to Wakanda. He’s a great negotiator. We can’t have a trade deficit with some African dictator. There’s a better deal here, it’s on the table. We’re going to take it off the table. We’re going to get the vibranium. All of it.”

"Mr. Trump, what do you make of the recent reports detailing Iran's private acquisition of unobtanium from an unnamed vendor in Kwybekistakistan?"

“See, this is what happens. Our great African-American president cozies up to Iran. And now they have the Kwybekistakistani metals. Do we know what they could do with those metals? No, we don’t. Do we trust them with those metals? Don’t be stupid. I’ve never seen an Iranian drink Diet Coke.”

people keep talking about being afraid of trump having the nuclear launch codes but what about trump being in charge of the NSA and CIA

Hell forget all that I'm even scared of him getting the standard daily intelligence briefings that candidates running for president get.

What sort of fucking lunacy would it take for Trump's base to actually abandon him?

Honestly, absolutely nothing. While this is an extreme statement, Trump could declare himself President for life once elected and his base would embrace the decision. Trump could follow through on everything he said he would do: build a wall at the U.S./Mexican border, have ALL Muslim Americans on a watch list, have patrols in 'Muslim neighborhoods' (whatever that means), block access to the country for people from certain regions, pull the U.S. from NATO, everything. Trump could decide to throw journalists, judges, or politicians in jail for disagreeing with him and his base's reaction would be "Yay! Get those libruls!" without even realizing that would break America as a republic and as a democracy.

You'd hope that Trump is doing a lot of this for show and will be smart about getting people who understand domestic and foreign policy and dial back the pronouncements.

Most of the Republican Party just shrug their shoulders, not even taking Trump seriously or even pretending to understand what this will be for America. Mitch McConnell can't even muster any emotion when asked about statements Trump is making that make him and his Party look bad. Trump having the power of the pen as President should give them pause.

My hope is if Trump is elected (which is becoming a very real possibility every day), he will dial it back. I don't see it happening, but I can see a lot of his own Cabinet having to react to him during the entire presidency and Trump deciding to fire Cabinet members at live press conferences for seeming miscues.

And still the GOP demands Hillary be locked up for some bullshit about a private email server. What is wrong with these people?

Trump identifies himself by the amount of his stated wealth. Hardly a controversial statement- but I finally realized why he defends it in such an insane fashion- nobody is going to license his gaudy atrocity of a brand unless the image of billionaire wealth is actually true. If he's outed as a mere millionaire then his beard is literally worthless.

And that's all he has. A tissue thin veil of wealth upon which he projects his illusory value.

So you are a troll poster?

The mods need to update your tag.

also i think the most useful role the media can play in this election is confronting every other republican with trump's latest cancerous thought and forcing them to openly tie themselves to it or condemn it

This is easily the most un-patriotic, un-american thing to say, which I find especially jarring that it's coming from the leader of a party that believes they have the market cornered on those two attributes.

Could Trump be...the third man?

I'm sorry

As an outsider, this guy never fails to entertain.

As an American, I would be seriously concerned that this guy even has a chance.

Or just bullshit about existing countries. "Would you agree to risk sanctions on south Korea because they violated the pacific-atlantic pact with US in trading with Japan?"

"What should we do about the persistent stories about the workforce of a confectionery factory having a large amount of undocumented immigrants from Loompaland?"

Does no one remember last year when a foreign leader was brought by Republican members of congress to give a dressing down to their own leader and president using information obtained through espionage? Israel used espionage against Obama and the white house to obtain their details for the Iran nuclear deal. They provided these details to Republican members of the congress who then invited Netanyahu over to insult and denigrate Obama and also wrote a letter to Iranian ayatollahs talking about going behind the US President's back.

The dude should be thrown in jail immediately after shouting something like that in the position that he's in, its LITERAL treason. But because of the money and power that he's got, that's not going to happen. Which is par the course in America.

It's better the information get sent to the FBI than held as blackmail.

Well grandkids, 2016 was a weird year. I saw real estate ballsack, ex-KGB agent, and swedish leaker all act towards the same goal.

What do you mean by that?

If there's anything in the 33,000 emails Clinton deleted that you'd consider it treason to be hacked, than that'd be evidence of a Clinton lie. She would be subject to blackmail by those who have the info she'd lied about.

By the way, it's not treason to request Russia submit evidence of a crime to the United States.

What does the content of the emails have anything to do with it being treason or not?

Nothing in the law says that it has to be classified content etc.

Or you could treat trump like an adult and critique him for the position he's running for.
