I sort of remember there being a bug in the wii-version that made it impossible to complete newgame+ mode or something that hurt completionist a lot. Such a nice little game.

Little King's Story is a fantastic game, and this is based on the Superior Wii art style version.

You are talking about New Little King's Story for vita which isn't the same game. Different art style and some changes. This is the wii game which is a forgotten classic as far as i'm concerned.

IIRC, they've said literally nothing about it since announcing it and releasing some very ugly early screens last year.

Gameplay is similar to Pikmin and Overlord (controlling a bunch of different little units as a big blob and navigating the world by sending the little individual units towards obstacles and enemies) with a very cute/sweet fairytale skin.

Highly recommended.

Vita version is absolute shit, don't bother playing that. This seems based on the Wii original, which was fantastic.

This is great! I wanted to buy this game foe years on the Wii, but kept going back and forth because it's 50hz exclusive for some reason. So this is the best solution!

Not at all, the game didn't use any controls that can't be mapped to a standard controller.
