Was just reading through the Andy Rooney thread and someone posted a video of him in an interview with Ali G http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndCK5qvj8Ps. The video is hilarious and reminded me how funny this show was, post some of your favorite Ali G moments! (Borat/Bruno from the show counts I suppose)

yeah I was disappointed with the movie, but anyhoo the show makes up for it! (plus Borat movie was awesome as well)
 
ps kent hovind (the creationist in the science clip) has been serving a 10yr jail sentence since '06. :lol
 
I love the interview with buzz aldrin

Ali G: Will man ever walk on...the sun?
Aldrin: No, it wouldn't be a good place to visit because it's far too hot
Ali G: What about if we go in the winter when the sun is cold?
Aldin: No, the sun is never cold.

and then later he calls him Buzz Lightyear :lol
 
The only good part of the Ali G movie is the intro song. lol

But I became a fan of the show back when new episodes were being shown on HBO. It's a shame it only lasted 2 seasons but I got both seasons on DVD :D
 
See, me mate Dave told me he read this topic on Neogaf innit.

I liked Ali G, it would have been nice to see him wheeled out for some election interviews.

I loved the interviews he used to do for the 11 O'Clock Show on Channel 4 before any of the people being interviewed had any idea who he was, but his schtick started to get stale soon after his first solo series imo.
 
Sacha has said he is completely done with Ali G, Bruno, and Borat. But I am waiting for some new characters. Playing a stereotype is what he is so great at.
 
I once had some guys over and we were drinking beer and we stumbled upon Ali G by accident. We had no idea what the program was and we were dying with laughter.

We were just as dumbfounded as his mark.

All of them are great, but the Buzz Aldrin interview is by far my favourite

It's weird to see a bunch of Americans talking about Ali G. He'll always be the 11 O' Clock Show spinoff-on-Channel 4 dude to me.

Ali G was always his best character. That's why he had the show, and not Borat or Bruno. I'm not sure why the first movie bombed, but I didn't even see it. I saw Borat and most of Bruno. PEACE.
 
My favorite television series of all time. Now he just needs to release all of his UK movies without the goddamn laugh track.

It had such a great fucking opening, especially the part where
his dong falls out of his pants
. The rest of the show is stinky balls though.

I really liked the movie though... I never knew it existed and walked into it by accident a few years back. I enjoyed the whole experience immensely.
 
A guy I used to work with went to university with him. And, true story, apparently he was really quiet back then. Sacha Baron Cohen, not Ali G of course.

I'd love to read an interview where he states he used humour to avoid being bullied at... university.
