Never heard this expression before.

Thanks !

Well we should wait to see the receipts first. We don't know if people are actually going to jump ship in the next weeks or not.

Come on man... You don't know what "mailing it in" means but you use "see the receipts first" and "Jump ship"?

It's so funny because you could tell for like just a week or two, Manafort or someone was getting through to him. Really trying. Trump was acting a bit more "Presidential" for a very short period of time.

But it was only a matter of time before his ego took over.

It's a shame really - if he had reigned in his worst excesses, ran on a platform where his economic policies reflect his rhetoric, steered clear of abortion and continued his line on strong immigration reform without the more incendiary comments he'd be a shoe in (in addition to being the most progressive Republican in living memory).

Not even remotely. Any republican would have an extremely difficult path to 270 electoral votes this cycle. Trump has made that path somewhere between razor thin to non-existent by alienating pretty much every group that isn't uneducated white men.

Jesus F. Christ, the General only just got started and it's already too much. How much crazier can this election season possibly fucking get?

I'll fully admit there's plenty of confirmation bias on my end regarding these rumors - I desperately want them to be true so I've decided they probably are.

Makes me smile.

Well, I mean, the fact Trump's campaigning in impossible to win states implies a pretty disastrous lack of control over their candidate.

I'm very happy right now lol

I dont support anyone in this election, or know a whole lot of politics, nor am I a "Bernie Bro", But would it be possible if Trump drops out and Bernie says "fuck it I'll run as an independent" and steal some votes from people who hate hillary with a drop out from Trump? Is that even possible or allowed at this stage?

I mean you could give Manafort the benefit of the doubt but it's double sourced here (triple sourced if you include CNN), so there's definitely something to this.

Not that you need me to tell you that.

He wouldn't. That dream died at the convention. Bernie isn't going to run 3rd, 4th or even 5th party

No, because the GOP would put someone else in I am assuming. Must keep unity.

What scares me is this man can actually be elected President. Everything about him screams incompetence and dear I say, un-American.

No, Trump supporters and Bernie supporters are completely different. There wouldn't be much crossover. Also it would be almost impossible for him to put a viable independent run at this point with no money and no campaign structure set up.

Yeah, you ain't telling me shit Manafort. You're ship is sinking by the minute and you're trying to dredge the boat with a spoon.

Manafort is in it for all that Putin's money anyway.

He's prob got a cushy job as a pro-Russia lobbyist lined for him after this whole debacle is over.

Not that you need me to tell you that.

But Manafort said it's not true...

Seriously, why even ask Manafort if he is mailing it in? Even if he really is he isn't going to confess to it because it would defeat him mailing it in lol.

The quickest way to get fired is to admit you stopped trying.

As of the RNC convention, something like half of Trump's stateside offices (including Florida!) were unstaffed. It's pretty obvious for even a casual observer that his campaign is in shambles. Confirmation and details are nice to have though.

Ba-da-ba-ba-ba! I'm loving it!

Ovviously - he's a total borderline personality and I can't imagine trying to work with him in any capacity. The New Yorker just features a piece by the ghostwriter of The Art of the Deal that gives some insight into how all over the place Trump is when you get him one on one. It's madness.

The Clinton camp needs to run the best August operation and kill the Trump campaign once and for all. Do to Trump what Bush did to Kerry in August/September of 2004.
