I think my only problem with the episode was it felt like the story should have been longer. Feels like the story needed a few more build ups to the pay off. Like Pearl and Garnet trying to talk to her before tossing her in storage.
I thought they actually just said at Comic Con that it's a song that fits many different characters and isn't one specific characterso Love Like You is definitely being sung by Rose, right?
I agree with this.
It's like "Hey, Bismut is actually really pissed at Rose maybe we should talk this o..."
*storage'd*

So, some people are taking Bismuth's line as definitive proof that Rose is Earth-born.
Leaving aside the possibility that Rose was simply lying, what other evidence do we have that she's from space?
(I mean, aside from the fact that it seems like her coming from space and falling in love with Earth would be stronger thematically than her protecting the planet after having been born there.)

Who voiced Bismuth? Because she sounded a lot like the actress that plays Crazy-Eyes in Orange is the New Black.

It doesn't squash anything. My theory is still that Pink Diamond was a fusion of Rose and Lion, so of course Rose on her own was just a regular quartz.I feel one of the biggest pieces of information from this episode is that Bismuth saidthat Rose was a regular quartz. Which pretty much squashes all the Pink Diamond theories.

She talks about how "strange" earth is to Greg all the time, which doesn't make sense unless she has something else to compare it to
There's nothing saying that gems made on earth stayed on earth exclusively and there's nothing that says Rose wasn't made on earth.
In fact in on-the-run Amy tells Steven that she's not from HW like Pearl and Garnet and that she's from earth like him. She did not include Rose in the HW boat when it coulda been easy to say "Pearl, Garnet and Rose" if that were the case.
A problem with the episode I have is that the breaking point doesn't seem like that effective of a weapon. Why is shattering so much better than proofing? How would that have made a difference? I mean, those bubbled gems have been there for thousands of years. They're as good as shattered.
Only thing I can think of is that, maybe homeworld was getting the gems that were poofed back somehow and sending them right back to war? I feel like she should have mentioned this to make her argument stronger if so. Right now Bismuth just came across as overly blood thirsty for... some reason

The show has a lot af anime influences so maybe Lion is based on a Shishi? They are magical lions and often guard shrines in Japan. This got me thinking, I'm not reading so much on theory and stuff outside of occasionally jumping into this thread, but what would the other diamond defuse into? Since there were four of them maybe there is some lore/foreshadowing points to find when considering the four Evangelists since each of them have their unique "animal" representation, one of which is a Lion. I don't know anything else about the Evangelists though. Has this ever come up in the fandom?
Couldn't stop myself from seeing Beta and Earthlings preview and screenshots.I can't wait :-oJasper really IS Vegeta and Amy is OVER 9000!
It did have the lonely blade segmentI saw the leak for Bismuth at first and it didn't have thesegment. Makes the episode much, much better since it's not as foreshadowed, and nothing feels like it's missing.Lonely Blade Infinite Power

Yeah me too please. Can someone PM me the spoilers? I want in!
Steven's linemakes me think that"Normally when I meet a new gem they try to kill me and it takes forever to become friends with them"we'll eventually see Bismuth again.
