I am not too worried. PS4 version looks tits. Hopefully we will get some PC info/footage between now and Friday, though. Gonna be a looooooooooong week :(

The FOV though, can't imagine myself playing for hours with that horrible FOV, hopefully we can change it on the PC version

I'm heavily debating on buying it digitally as well...I still have the limited edition coming in the mail, but having it at midnight tonight would be pretty sweet. And I have $30 in Amazon credit...ugh...

The temptation to double dip on this is too damn much. Being UK it's only a 2 day wait at least versus 3 since I've no idea how I'd go about purchasing through US PSN, but seriously, I think I'd be close to caving otherwise. I'm itching to dive into this soooo bad. If only that PC US date hadn't changed I'd be VPN'ing my way in tonight. :(

Just got charged for the LE. It says Shipping Now... But no shipping email yet. Not getting my hopes up.

I have a 15% off code ready just incase I have to go digital.

Are you in LA?

I'm near downtown, and if I remember correctly, the Amazon warehouse is about an hour and a half away from my house as well, but those fuckers always wait until the last minute to ship and deliver.

My LE still hasn't shipped yet. I can't find that picture of Jordan Peele sweating, but that's how I feel right now. I really want to play tomorrow. I'm horribly tempted to buy this game digitally, and give my wife the physical LE when it arrives...

Nah, Georgia. I will probably get it via mail so i won't be playing until lunch time at the earliest. Big shippers don't go the last mile if they can't help it

I picked it up on PS4 because I didn't want to wait till Friday but yeah, that FOV Is awful. I really hope they fix it in a patch or I may end up grabbing the PC version when it launches and selling my PS4 copy.

FOV issues aside, I'm finally watching a high quality stream and I have to say... the graphics are really impressive all things considered. I'm not sure how much of a difference the 1.03 patch makes but whatever, it looks great!

Will be interesting to see if the FOV is changeable on PC. The wider the FOV, the more the game has to generate/render simultaneously. Because of this, I doubt it will get changed on PS4 at least.

No, I specifically asked him and he said it's available to pick up right now

Edit:

Yeah, just called the store and said definitely today for pickup. Really weird

If they try to complete the sale it will tell them it is an unreleased product and to not sale it until August 9th.

I was at a Best Buy the Tuesday before DOOM was to be released on the upcoming Friday and they had mistakenly put it on the shelves, I tried but failed.

Can't believe it's out this week. Feels like it's been forever since we knew about NMS.

I'm day one, minute one and might be calling in "sick" tomorrow at work. Hype level has maintained for me, and I think I have realistic expectations. Tomorrow will be a good day!

Excited to start the livestream. I have to say. Seeing it on twitch is nasty that bitrate really hurts a game like this.

God damn it gaf. Read through the op and my hype levels increased so much that I used the $30 amazon credit I had and ordered this.

Hopefully we can adjust it in PC version because I would really love to play NMS, but that FOV is deal breaker for me. Have history of getting headaches from games with super low FOV :(

I just want to say that I've been hyped for this game for over 2 years now and I'm thankful such a game can be released right now. I'm really hopeful I'm getting a job soon, but if I still can't, at least I have a safe opiate. The past few months have been an insane wait and I started having second thoughts after the Daymeeuhn leaks. It really sounded pessimistic due to the brevity of reaching the center and the lack of variety on planets. I know everything Sean Murray has promised and it sounded like, if Daymeeuhn was right, he would be Molyneux'd, which was my biggest fear. But then a light appeared from the clouds in the form of the first update notes - it was everything I hoped would be in the game and Reddit was actually right that the leaked copies were a pre-release version (or pre-Day 1 patch, depending on your perspective).

This is the game I've always wanted to play. The only space flight game I've ever played is Freelancer and I've been obsessed with Elite: Dangerous for a while, but I've been worried it's too mechanical to enjoy, the cost of entry with a HOTAS is high, and that Frontier is not improving the game (e.g. combat AI and exploration). NMS sounds like a great beginner space game to play before and it hits all the buttons I enjoy in games nowadays. I'm away from home but I'm buying it on Saturday on PC when I get back. I'm still looking forward to playing Doom and Deux Ex, but this will hopefully be the main game I play this year and maybe the next.

Once I reach my destination at the Center of the Galaxy I plan on setting off and discovering some lush planet, settling in (building a base down the line), and awaiting your arrival...I know you're out there, please come peacefully.
