I've never seen so many game review sites stream a game right before launch like this. I mentioned this earlier, but there is something unique about this game in that it feels like everyone enjoys streaming or watching streams

It's the whole "never know what you're going to see" aspect of the game.
 
Holy crap I just came across a beautiful pink planet with crazy animals. I literally just stood there for about 10 minutes soaking it all in. Had loads of rare materials too. I don't want to leave!

Someone asked if there is an FOV option for PC in the game, Sean replied jokingly that every time someone asks they lower the FOV by one degree, and then posted that screenshot of the PC options menu with "cancelled" to poke fun at all the people who have been asking about it. But really, FOV is in the game, that's an actual screen from the PC build.

I think it's the fact that everyone's journey is completely unique. And thus IGN's stream can be just unique as Gamespot's and so on. It's not like you watch one stream, see a few missions, and don't really have to watch another one

Everyone can stream, and every stream can show something different, thus every stream can be worth a watch

Stop by. We may have some devs stopping by here at my home to talk during the gameplay and discuss their own procedural gen, going give some copies of the game away, name a ton of items after peeps in the channel, and discuss the tech behind the title. All for a good cause!

Expect it much more as we move forward. Many of the bigger review sites feel very threatened by individuals, youtubers, those who get the game early via retailers. There are more changes like this in the wind.
 
I played about four hours of the game today. The sense of discovery is incredibly strong in the game. It's always exciting warping off to the next place after seeing as much of one area as you want. But there is a detriment, for me at least: inventory. I spend a decent chunk of time moving things from the Exosuit to the Starship inventory, and finding a material I've been searching for for a while disappear because my inventory was full at the time isn't so fun. But that's just one thing out of a big ass game. I'm loving my time with it.

Twitter or Facebook would be quickest. You have to link your accounts first though your PS4 settings menu.

Copying the screenshot to a USB stick would be better quality but def not as quick.

Been watching a bit now and I really don't know what to think of this.

I had to stop watching. Honestly almost any other stream is better than theirs gameplay wise.
 
Damn, that AMA already has like 9000 upvotes and is on the top of the front page, and there's only like 5 answers. The thirst is real.
 
So once you find a planet can you like quick travel to it, or is it basically lost forever once you leave (unless you're able to find your way back later).

I wonder how easy it would be to mod in VR support to this game. I don't have a VR headset yet but this would be one of the games I'd be interested in playing with one.

He's giving a great look at the game. Doing tons of exploring. I'm kind of tuning his commentary out, don't really care what he's talking about. He doesn't sound terribly annoying so it's fine.
