Donald Trump suggests 2nd Amendment Folks do something about Hillary

I just took it as him saying they should get together and vote against her.

He said there's nothing you can do if she's elected and appoints her justices, except maybe the second amendment people. He's not referring to voting, in this hypothetical she's already won the election. That's why this explanation makes no sense.

I could be wrong, and I am not a Trump supporter, but I took it to mean that he was describing a scenario where she gets to pick her judges if she is elected, then saying that they could do something to prevent that (voting). Maybe I should watch the video...

Then say that? He did not. He implied that someone shoot her, period.

Claiming he's the "law and order" candidate, whilst stoking the fires of political violence. Unbelievable.

This kind of rhetoric is unheard of in mainstream politics.

He was talking about AFTER she got elected. You only can pick SC judges as president.

I don't really like much about the status of the world and its people in 2016.

Actually, watching the video again it seems like "That will be a horrible day" IS in reference to the 2nd Amendment people doing something about it. Almost like a bit of schtick that he realizes he shouldn't say before he stammers, "If, if, if Hillary gets to pick her judges..."

Shows what a terrible speaker Trump is that it's hard to even figure out the context.

Just think if Hillary Clinton said this she would be decimated. Say goodbye to the presidency and hello to your next POTUS Donald Trump.

Donald Trump could literally kill someone on TV and nearly half the nation would love him for it. -_-
I know your being a bit hyperbolic, but the fact is he is absolutely paying for his recent comments. This is going to further hurt him. He isn't Teflon Don any more. The shit he does is now reflected in the polling where it wasn't in the primaries.

Please do. He's specifically detailing the time period after she's elected, saying, "Nothing you can do. The Second Amendment people [gun owners], maybe..."

This is post-voting. If it was about lobbyists (which is absolutely wasn't), then there would be still something other groups could do, not just the "Second Amendment" ones. There isn't the wiggle room on this the Trump camp pretends there is. He just said, "Well, all else fails, maybe somebody could shoot her."

He left the meaning wide open. If you're going to aim a bunch of unhinged gun nuts at a politician you got to be explicit as fuck about what exactly you want them to do (i.e protests, marches...ect)

I know that, I'm meaning that he's saying "if she's elected, she's gonna pick her judges. Maybe you can vote and prevent her from being elected i.e.: that situation happening"

But like I said after watching the video, I don't think that's what he meant. I'm saying this is probably what they'll try to say he meant though.

After his statement about the second amendment solution, he also said that it would be a "horrible day".

Not to mention all the times he's condoned violence at his rallies. Suggested there would be a riot at the convention if he were denied the nomination. Called for a foreign government to hack the emails of his rival. A real law and order guy.

You're giving Trump a benefit of the doubt that he hasn't thus far deserved so far in this election. He meant what he said about Mexicans, he means what he says about Hillary as well.

Unless it's a joke or a lie.

I'm saying this is probably what they'll try to say he meant though.

They'll say anything to get him out of the ditch, but unusually for a Trump statement the intended meaning is very clear. Even the audience reaction fits: "You'll be screwed!" (audience goes noooo!) "Ok don't be disheartened my lovelies, there is still a way..".

One of the disadvantages Donald has in using one syllable words is the only way to inject nuance is to mangle the grammar - and in this case there was insufficient mangling.

Ok this has got to be what kills him. The steps above this are actually verbatim calling for murders. And people will still trip over themselves to twist his words into being not so bad.

"Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest?"

I knew Trump wanted to halt progress and drag this country back in time. I just didn't realize he was going all the way back to the 12th fucking century.

He knew exactly what he was implying when he said it, don't give him any credit.

The piece of shit doesn't deserve it.

The whole front page of r/politics is all about this, two months ago is was all about bernie, this is your 20 something crowd yoo. Trump is done. *I hope*

On point. Great article:

It's shit like that that continually has me making comparisons between our modern day Republicans and the worst elements of humanity. I could legit see any of the disturbed psychos these politicians have cultivated through the years just going postal.
