Donald Trump suggests 2nd Amendment Folks do something about Hillary

Personally, I took it as, "if she gets elected let your voices be heard and unite." However, I can get why some people are flat out expecting the worst out of his comments. He simply doesn't know how to carry himself.

It's like going to a restaurant with a friend who is being a complete dick to the waiter without knowing he is being a dick. It's bad for business.

Why would 2nd amendment people specifically be the only ones who could do this?

Must be tiring, carrying water for an inept fascist this long.

I really dislike when people do this. He didn't see the statement as everyone else did. Maybe he didn't watch the video, or didn't get the context of 'after she was elected' in the statement.

That doesn't mean he's a Trump fan. :/

Honestly, even if he were a fan I'd dislike it. I feel like we shouldn't sink to level of Trump by insulting everyone as a knee-jerk reaction. Instead I feel we should blow their heads off with facta and education lol.

Maybe I'm too nice though, which is a total detriment these days. Too soft :(

Let's ignore for a moment the fact that you've decided there can be no valid concerns among the many factors that made people want to vote to leave the EU, because anyone who doesn't agree with you is logically racist or stupid, and everything they say must be vilified or buried.

Going back to the Trump issue, this is why just being abusive to people doesn't work:

1) "I think Trump is wrong about negative impacts of immigration and globalisation because..."

2) "You are wrong, and a stupid racist bigot."

Which of these gives you potential opportunity (however slim) to understand someone else and have them understand you?

Which one immediately attacks someone putting them on the defensive, doubling their resolve and reinforcing the claims that you don't care at all about them, burning the bridge forever?

The propensity of the liberal elite in governments, the press, and the vocal left on social media to go with option 2 is one of the reasons Trump is able to thrive, and while it continues there can be no rational debate.
The Leave vote was won on xenophobia and a misplaced nationalistic sense of importance. The places that voted Leave had fewer migrants than the places that voted Remain, they received net benefits from the EU in terms of funding. EU migrants into the UK are a net economic benefit, while even suggesting leaving the EU has had demonstrable economic harm. And I specifically wrote "misplaced" because if the concern in question was a lack of housing, or lack of wage regulation, that's on the domestic government. Not on pillow regulations.

On Trump.
Someone who yells out "Fuck that, nigger." when President Obama is mentioned by Donald Trump, and that violently throws out protesters while calling them a "faggot" is not someone I have an interest in "understanding." Someone who says he should "Trump that bitch" and "Hang her" needs to be repudiated, not accepted.
And it's not even someone I'm going to converse with.

I'll support better trade adjustment. I'll support higher wages. I'll support better healthcare access. I'll support programs that make these stupid, racist, misogynist, homophobic bigots' lives better regardless. Whether they realise it or not.
But I don't need to like them, they don't need to like me, and I'm not going to change their stupid tiny minds.

And how would that stop President Clinton from appointing judges?

.

Personally would have gone with the 15th amendment.

I think that in Trump's mind, it was more a joke than a premeditated call to murder. But admitting it was a bad one, and apologizing for it? His ego wouldn't allow that. besides, he could really see Hillary as someone who deserve whatever could happen to her. He is unhinged enough to believe his own rethoric.

This situation US folk are in is both scary and hilarious at the same time.

Its unfathomable that the US Presidential race ended up with these 2 candidates...

What the flying fuck...

1) is very time consuming and useless most of the time because 2) fits well if you also include "ignorant and stubborn"

I have tried 1) so many times and gave up. People get way more defensive when you try and argument your position instead of just calling them out. (Not everyone, but in this case the hardcore Trump nuts)

Ah yes, the usual "they're both as bad as each other" spiel that I hear constantly from people. Clinton is actually incredibly experienced and knowledgeable on a wide range of issues and policy areas. She's arguably the most experienced and capable candidate running in this election.

Not arguably, she DEFINITELY is the most experienced and most capable candidate running in this election.

<sigh> the twisting and pivoting around this is already happening on my FB. Have a friend calling democrats hypocrites since Hillary mentioned Obama could be assassinated during the campaign back in 08, and Biden saying if "Obama tries to take his guns their will be problems" :/ Not even the same,

I think what Donald Trump is clearly saying was that people who cherish that right, people who believe that firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens make our communities more safe, not less safe, should be involved in the political process and let their voice be heard,” Pence said.
Anyone with half a brain can work out that while Trump’s comments were clunky, he did not in any way suggest Hillary Clinton should be assassinated. It takes a giant leap of logic to suggest such a thing.

Clinton is incredibly competent and Trump is incredibly incompetent.

That being said, conviction is also important and Clinton has never fully convinced me that she has real conviction. So in that sense it's a bummer to not have a candidate that I a hundred per cent believe in.

But yeah, Trump absolutely must lose. The idea that both candidates are equally problematic is farcical.

And what's wrong with Hillary running/becoming president?

Her foreign policy decisions have been a nightmare and she's highly responsible for the hell that is now Libya.

I'd vote for her any day over Trump but I do think that people that actually seem to be passionate about her and optimistic about her presidency might have something slightly wrong with them.

I'm just concerned is if you think she's worse than even a generic Republican - the same ones that helped draft that terrible platform during the RNC.

She wouldn't be my first choice if someone competent ran in the primaries (because seriously Jim Webb??), but there's no way in hell I'd vote for *any* Republican over her.
