I'm streaming now Gunz_B_Draughn on Twitch and my Titan X(p) goes from 160 to 30 fps pretty frequently. Not fun to play like this at all

This shit pisses me off. Console devs are so spoiled only supporting one resolution.
What difference does it make? Preorder, play for 2 hours then refund if bad. Buy again if it gets fixed.
Glad I have this option in 2016 cause I certainly didn't have it before.

1080p max settings can't hold 60fps. A lot of stuttering when moving the camera or even moving faster.
FOV only changes for the spaceship, but not on foot. Aliasing is so bad. Haven't played a PC game with such bad aliasing.
I got a good planet so I managed to leave in 5-10 minutes, to fucking get my safe point.

Well I am not having stuttering or those sort of performance problems but crashing every few minutes. How is this my fault? Besides lots of people are having performance problems on machines more than capable.

TB talked about how Hello Games denied him a preview version of the game to look at before release. They knew this is the reaction people would have at the performance. So I don't really think his reaction is an overreaction. Hello Games valued getting paid over letting people know ahead of time what they were buying.

If he's complaining about gameplay, then yeah, we can all agree to disagree on what we find fun and engaging. The things he is talking and complaining about, the performance and general shitness of the port apply whether you like the guy or not.

Right, so that confirms the UI / HUD is not supporting 21:9, as are "cutscenes" if you can call them that.
In which case, scratch my prior statement. Still broken 21:9 "support", but at least your screen gets utilised in some gameplay

If it's stuttering, crashing and having audio issues, it's god awful.
exactly my point, as consumer we should be grateful someone is talking about it. There is no such thing as complaining too much when it comes to performance. I might have worded my post wrong, but I was asking why people are calling his legitimate complaints whining.
Game runs good on my 5930k (OC'd to 4ghz) + AMD 480s. Not noticing any stutters except the occasional dip when something is loading, but I am using a 4k freesync monitor.

Seems fine to me, I switched down to 1440p and SSAA x 4. Was getting stuttering when using the scanner but setting the max fps to Max instead of 60 fixed it for me. I am using the in-game vsync.

That is the No.2 thing on my head: they basically directly ported the PS4 code without ever doing things correctly in a PC development sense.

I think I am just going to keep playing World of Warcraft tonight, put NMS on ice until they patch the biggest issues, and start fresh from there. Might be worth not even downloading the game for 6 months and see where we are at then.
"Voxels" is a bit misleading here and nothing new. It still renders meshes with good old triangles and shader materials. Basically same thing as with minecraft.

Ok vsync off, borderless window seems to have made the stuttering disappear.

Yea, it's awesome that steam let's you refund now. I prefer to see how well it performs from GAF and other sites, and then bite. To each his own, tho.

They didnt "deny him a preview version", it seems clear, both from what the dev said and the state of the PC port that there was no version until very shortly before launch today.

Console version of this runs great though. At 30, yes, but it's been super stable for me. No crashes either. Sucks for those who get them though.
Played 5 minutes, already absolutely hate the way the UI works with Keyboard and Mouse.
Why do I have to hold down my mouse button on an option for a second and wait for a circle to fill for it to do anything?
Why does the whole UI subtly move in the background as I move my mouse around?
It's horrible.
And having to sit through that intro every damn time? No way. No. Way.
Also, am I stupid or is there no way to quit? Is is hidden somewhere in this busy-ass ever shifting menu? Oh, of course, it's at the bottom of the fourth tab. Where else.
