The image quality seems so low, even on 1440 resolutions and everything maxxed. Looks like last-gen level of texturing/lighting.

Arkham Knight wasn't even launching for half the people that tried and the few people that could get it running couldn't have good performance. That doesn't seem to be the case here.
But yeah, there are some games that will get more hate than deserved, before, during and after the launch. Don't get me wrong, some things are unacceptable for that price range, but that's not the worst launch ever or a game completely broken.

I will highly disagree here, no matter what tone and how he presents it, if it's a legitimate problem it's not whining.
I really don't think they find it that hard. Flandy appears to show that it at least works in gameplay later, but certain scenes are broken and the UI/HUD is broken. That is broken 21:9 support.
Such as shame. From playing the PS4 version and dumping my pre-order, to seeing that this is far worse than I expected anyway. Good thing for others Steam / GOG refunds work pretty flawlessly with no real risk if you were already putting money down for the game.
Game doesn't boot. I7, 1070 and 16GB RAM. Should I buy a new rig?
OpenGL's problems rarely come from OpenGL itself (if well used) and more from the HW vendors' support.

Mouse sens is insane and I'm on 0 sens in game with 1600 dpi :| Can't even walk around without stuttering everywhere either. 4670k i5 + R9 290x 8GB

Watching Cohhcarnage's stream and it's running pretty damn well so far. From what I can tell the LoD/dithering is improved as well.
I was kinda hoping it wasn't so I didn't have an excuse to double dip but now.. argh.

Well I can see how it can be quite irritating after a while, but let's be honest, with specs like he has, wouldn't you "whine" too ?
He's pretty much saying this broken PC ports trend has got to stop, and it can ONLY stop if consumers fucking stop pre-ordering. I don't know about you, but I'm 100% behind this idea.
I was genuinely hyped as all hell about this game, it's my most anticipated game with The Last Guardian, and up until the very last minute I was so close to pre buy the game but I just couldn't. And it sucks, because I still want to play, and like the game, but...no. Just no.
Especially after the DOOM PC version which (even if not as technically as grand) which was as good as a PC version could be. Granted, HG is a tiny studio, but the dudes had Sony behind them, and made choices accordingly. All that mattes in the end is this : money, the consumer and what to do with it. Right now ? I'm not buying anything.

Ctrl-Alt-Del and then click on the game from task manager. That should work.

This is how it works on gaf/internet for some people: if someone in some point in time said/did something you disagree with, whether he tweeted something you found insulting, railed on a bad game you liked, "sounds pretentious" then nothing he/she ever says can be correct/good even if they are 100% in the right.

It has nothing to do with pre orders lol, especially not with Steam refunds. GOG has refunds for tech issues too, and those were the two main places it is available.
The pre order line he always goes on about is so boring and might have had a place pre-refunds.

Alright, again, I'd like to hear more from other people doing this. Turning off in game vsync and enabling it through the driver has been a thing for a long, long time.

Those that are actually here to play the PC version of the game, read this. It's also the first thing I did (since I have a g-sync monitor) and have no stutter during game play. Getting 90+ FPS on a 6700k, 980 Ti.
