I've got it:
They saw how ungrateful we were for their vaseline footage of today's World of Wonder video and came up with the most devious scheme to get us to suddenly care all at once... by showing us how it feels to have the release date moved out from under us.

Although honestly. I'm waiting for, the long wait, PC port for FF15. Unless FF15 is better on Neo than regular PS4.
EDIT: Also with it just being some random dude calling gamestops, the people working their probably wouldn't have heard anything yet.
I believe it's true but haven't gotten enough confirmation to feel comfortable reporting it yet. That said, all these goobers calling up GameStops are just harassing people for no reason. If it's true, right now it's only known on a corporate level, not a store level.

I think I'm mostly ambivalent toward this because I never expected it to come out this year at all.
If it's late November, that's still sooner than I originally expected. Next March? April? Still sooner. My guess was always mid to late 2017.

You know, if this winds up happening... I have had the game on digital pre-order since it went up earlier in the year. Then they pulled that deluxe edition out of nowhere. Now they could be offering a Neo bundle with a superior version.
I wonder if they'd allow me to cancel due to the new intel. I know cancelling digital store orders/refunds is sketchy, but come on. In this case I feel like it'd be a justified reason.

It's a bad date for the game overall anyway if it will get delayed I'm almost postive it will not come out this year even if they say it will.
And Cyber Monday. I doubt Square wants it to be $30-$40 then, but I also doubt they care about western sale holidays.
Yeah. I wouldn't take GS employees/manager not knowing something as confirmation of something not being real.
They sometimes don't even know the stuff that they have in the inventory in the back rooms. When the 250GB PS3 slim released, I went to buy one. The manager and employees were clueless that there even was such a release, I asked them to check the back , and they were all surprised that there even was a 250GB ps3 out, much less that they had one in the back.
I reckon for stuff like this, you would need to know at least a regional manager if not someone higher up. And even if you're a store manager contacting a regional manager about something like this, it's not necessary that those certain region managers are gonna be forthcoming with the info. Most people follow rules in regards to info like this that's not supposed to be revealed till a certain date.

BTW if it is true, it's good news for everyone (except maybe Square's business people). There are SO MANY games in September already, including some massive JRPGs, and there have been all sorts of rumors about FFXV being in rough shape. By the end of the year nobody will care whether it came out in September or November - they'll care whether it manages to keep a decent framerate and camera.
