It would help if they would stop promoting it like amateurs. The Sony conference was Noctis just getting punched in the face for two minutes straight until suddenly it launched into a QTE segment. And that's all we have to go on for where development is currently at.
 
Man, not only would this screw up my Gravity Rush 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 plans, but it might mess up the Gilmore Girls revival and South Park.

Too much at the one time :/

You mean MS conference, that's the one that had the bad gameplay demo. The Sony conference actually had a decent trailer, until the VR part at least.

Releasing a good story trailer with character beats, new locations, some bosses, etc. along with the "Too Much" Florence song, along with an updated playable demo would be a good start.

It's not as though they aren't trying to market with say Kingsglaive, the anime episodes and so forth but that's not doing a lot for the game proper. People eat up great trailers and demos, and all we've gotten lately is another wildlife presentation and an outdated and quite frankly pointless demo.

The E3 demo didn't demo very well either.

I think that was Microsoft conference. Sony had the stupid VR ogle at digital boobs thing.

The marketing for this game has been a disaster.

  • No story trailer, no official confirmation about voice actors.
  • We have only seen one unfinished cutscene, and thats thanks to Gamespot.
  • They have continually only shown actual gameplay from Duscae region.
  • All of their recent updates have been minor features. (Chocobo vending machine)
  • Pretty much everything they show has an "in progress" look.

If you look at XIII a month before it released, its like night and day with XV.
 
So... any jrpgs coming out next month (in NA) I should be buying instead? Or I'll just change WoFF to PS4 instead of Vita..


Not even mad, I've waited long enough. Just do it right SE.

We just had a trailer at E3. We're getting another one next week for Gamescon. It's a down period. They're in a stupid situation where either they'll get a lot of hate for spoiling too much or for showing too little. They've said there's a lot more areas than the ones they've been showing but if they do show them then people get mad about spoilers. Square can't really win cause there will always be a bunch of people looking to shit on the game. E3 in itself showed us how Altissia finally looks during gameplay and airship footage.
 
This is the Equivalent of Lebron doing that big reveal about going to the Heat and before the season started going to idk the Rockets, goddamnit SE.

I realize this but as someone who is hyped for the game, that stuff didn't really do much for me. It's like the Rogue One trailers. The first one didn't blow me away, I was just like well it looks cool and has potential. The new one we got last night though was just epic and showed me more of what I've been waiting to see. It increased my hype ten-fold. I don't think there's been much shown from this game that has really grabbed people by the balls and a great new story trailer and demo would help substantially.
 
I'm sorry but I really need to complain about how Gamenasia handled this rumor.
Why are they reporting about an information based on one source without pictures or other proof. An information that according to them will be revealed in two days at most anyway.
The only reason are cheap clicks, nothing else. There is absolutely no value in this report as of now. They don't have any additional stuff to say that we wouldn't know by Monday without them.

And if they get pictures tomorrow, then they should have waited, or not leaked it at all when it's revealed the day after anyway. This just causes unnesessary discussion about if it's true or not.

I sorta know what you're getting at. It's a race to be first, but eh, they have the info. If they believe it to be credible then I guess their credibility goes up afterward.

Yup but Rogue One isn't even remotely the same situation. Rogue One is probably gonna get one more major trailer after this so of course they have to show more than usual. FFXV shoots out something new at least every month so they got to balance it out. Gamescon is right around the corner so we'll be getting a trailer there. If this rumor is true then for sure we're getting another trailer at TGS. Then probably another one in November for the game's launch. Plus little smaller ones like the World of Wonder one sprinkled throughout.
 
If this delay is happening, I'd like for them to give the duscae demo to everyone with the updated battle system. Doesn't have to include everything,just a few weapons and such like the niflheim base trailer.

I think both have struggled to gain any sort of mainstream traction, but that's a far bigger issue for FF than it could ever be for NMS. Much much more is riding on XV.

A delay is happening because the actual game cannot be finished on time and you want them to distract themselves even further by working on promotional stuff for the game which... they cannot finish on time? Lol. Great logic there.

Oh absolutely. I'm just talking about how that "right trailer" can be the one that changes the game. Look, I do think that there's going to be more and better marketing. It could even be because of this possible delay. I was just going into the reasons why there's not as much hype as usual. It's this, it's that, hell it could be due partially to the Lightning trilogy souring some general feelings of the series.

Whatever the case, I can understand why there's a lack of doubt and even hype. There's some hype, but it does feel substantially lesser than usual.

Just release it. Let it be over with. Focus on getting FFXVI and KHIII to us in a timely fashion and forget this whole decade long song and dance.

That's just my stupid hope lol. If this game needs to delay to 2017, then yeah an updated demo would be nice. The two month delay won't do shit in trying to release a new demo so that's my bad on that part.
