Rth seems to be backing the $13M number for Sausage Party but is putting Suicide Squad at $12M on Friday.

That would be an 82% drop from opening day (73% if you remove the Thursday previews).

BvS dropped 81.6% Friday to Friday (73% minus Thursday previews).

Saw Pete's Dragon tonight, actually. It's a solid film. Nothing fantastic, but it's very well made, and kind of a tearjerker. HUGE deviations from the original.

Considering it did 8 million on thursday a 50% rise on Friday would be the worst percent increase from any comic book movie this year

Pete's Dragon is probably selling poorly because the story looks like something that was told a million times before. How many variations of King Kong are we gonna get Hollywood? Seriously. I've seen so many cartoon episodes as a kid watching child/woman befriend misunderstood "dangerous" thing, with everyone eventually trying to kill it. Enough is enough, Jesus.

It could be because the original King Kong is one of the greatest and most important films ever made.

With the circles i run in the word of mouth went from mixed to nothing.

Maybe because i already saw it but I felt like this movie came out ages ago. Really want to see its (lack of) legs.

Pete's Dragon is probably doing poorly because unlike Jungle Book the original was a forgettable and unloved film created during one of Disney's low points.

Look on the bright side Warner Bros, your films keep breaking records!

WB isn't going to learn their lesson, will they?

I heard Wonder Woman may be another disaster, and if that one is true...

There is nothing wrong in finding enjoyment in seeing terrible films fail.

.

Bad movies failing and good movies succeeding is good for getting more good movies later.

It's kind of irritating for those of us who enjoy their films. (Yes,I liked SS and BvS)

Don't take things personally and realize you might have bad taste in movies. The movies are not just different. It's not just opinion. They have glaring film making flaws.
