soooo guys how do you de select a waypoint dot once you have made one??

The only way i can think of is to go there unfortunately. I've a waypoint on another planet in my HUD because i didn't travel there after i set the marker.

I'm now on planet #2 "Stevelandia" and it's a frozen hell-hole with extreme weather at night and my first carnivorous beasties. Joy. Still, i picked up my hyperdrive so i might jog on to another planet in the system and farm that for mats.

Anyone know where I can find a list of all the upgrades? I'm trying to maximize my layout but don't want to scrap everything before knowing how many united of each are around.

Life support maxes as +3? Radiation protection +3 ect? Anything in the suit go to +4?

I know the Polygon guide was pretty handy at first and i'm sure there's a wikia or two about also. I haven't gone looking aside from Polygon for a tip or two though.

Upgrade levels are Sigma, Theta, Tau and Optima? with the last one being pretty rare from what i've read here. I don't know if all items have 4 levels or if some only have 3, i've only seen Tau so far.

Too fucking addicting.

Woke up at 7, put the coffee on and sat down to play. Get up at 9 to pour myself a mug, and now it's noon. And I've only been on two planets.

found an "extreme sentinel planet" (that's what the voice said upon landing) where a bunch of gravition balls are on the ground. Been running around for a couple hours just farming money.

Using the sprint jump running away from the laser dogs this is actually a lot of fun, lol.

What the heck? I warped, instantly received a distress signal, arrive at the distress signal, music is playing up and absolutely nothing happens. Is this a bug?

EDIT: And the distress signal is gone after 10 minutes. Wtf?

Blueprints for stuff that is already installed will not show in the menu. But for some reason you also get blueprints for technologies that are preinstalled like launch trusters, life support and mining laser. Why a blueprint for life support when you have it from the beginning of the game and can't even remove it.

I'm talking ones that I don't have installed or the ability to make yet. They come up as already learned when they're not.

Look around the distress signal. Sometimes it's pirate ships attacking cargo and the cargo is requesting your help.

I have had this happen also. Nothing at the distress signal.

Most markers will be faded once you've used them, it's not as obvious as it could be but it's there. Also almost every location has an actual physical marker to use that also acts as a save point, you'll need to use that to 'check' off that you've been to that location and after that the icon for that location should be 'faded' anytime it shows up again or you pass it.

100% agreed. Markers / waypoints desperately need a management system -- combined with a planet map it could really improve things.

I figured it might be that, but yeah it's not really obvious at all. They definitely need to rethink it. I noticed that it faded a trading post for instance, which is kind of daft as it's a return location if you're a gold hunting.

One off location's like drop pods and monoliths I'd make completely grey if they've been finalised. With Trade locations I'd make them green or some such once you've been there once.

A map is probably stretching it, but some sense of N-E-S-W direction on a planet itself wouldn't be a bad idea, both in ship and on foot.

With the distress signal usually there's like 1 enemy ship that the computers end up destroying just as you arrive to get the signal.

So,
I presume that once you encounter them for the 11th time and learn that, you continue to the center and get warped to a galaxy that someone else has created? Or does all of this happen at the center?

After the 11th one I got a waypoint to a black hole about 3 or 4 systems away and that sent me to the next galaxy

Captain Log ID10T :

Switched ships , everything works except the hyperdrive and I am sick of this system. I now just wonder around in hopes of finding the crap I need to repair the hyperdrive.

Judging by some of these comments I'm feeling pretty lucky that I got my second multi-tool about 90 minutes in when I landed on my second planet. It made a noticeable difference right away.

Played a good 3 hours last night. Loved it! Definitely a lot of room for improvement and tweaks, IMO of course, but for a team like Hello to pull something like this off is crazy.

You guys like my new ship?

I miss the oval cockpit :/

So, I'm on a planet with a vortex stone every few steps. I've made 4 million thus far, but I'm getting bored and want to warp out.

Is there a simple way to return to this planet if need be, later down the line?

I don't know... I had a 24 slot multi tool before I got a 20 slot ship. Upgrading ships took forever for me, but for some reason I was always finding aliens that offered me multi-tools with my current slots+2

Still in my 2nd star system, after at least 10 hours of playtime.

Wandering around these planets isn't getting old. Decided I'm playing as an explorer and a scholar, not a fighter. It just feels satisfying and relaxing. I'm trying to learn all the words of an alien language and discover some of the lore of Atlas; and while I'm doing that, my exosuit's inventory space is growing and I'm collecting various upgrades (a couple of which look quite powerful) for later use.

The game is beautiful, I think. Everything looks like the front cover of a sci-fi book. They totally nailed the art design aspect.

That's RNG for ya. Some people get lucky and find new multi tools with ease and others don't.

The Knowledge Stones have run there course. Message now says 'Nothing new learned' so I guess I have obtained the whole of the Korvax vocabulary.

Also, with upgrades, these +1, +2 and +3 grades. Do they have to be chained together in your Exosuit? I slotted a +2 next to a +3 and they are now highlighted as 'together' while my +1 is separate. It's not clear how this all works.

Found a 16 slot multitool at a station, left the station with it and the game crashed. I didn't notice that it didn't save my progress until after I entered a black hole. So pissed.

Damn that sucks. They should add an auto-save when you enter your ship as well as exit.

Jeez!
I'm sitting at a space station waiting for a ship around 26-30 slots for around 3000k.

Either they are like 12 slots for a penny and a gum or 40 slots for your wife and first born....

K - so next patch should include a compass to distinguish planetary poles; a simple N for North and S for south on the hud would be ideal - perhaps even an indication of a planets equatorial regions.

I'd even like to know how long I've spent on each planet - essentially more planetary stats would be great.

I've found a lush planet with waving grass, a slight breeze, beautiful flora and friendly fauna.

20c degrees during the day, lots of resources and amazing vistas.

I don't want to leave...

I have a 22 slot ship and like a 9 slot multitool. I haven;t found any other good multi-tool yet.
