Metal Gear Solid V 'Definitive Ex' listed by Amazon (Chapter 3?)

To anyone who thinks Chapter 3 or a MGS3 remake is happening

I implore you to remove and sharp objects and belts from your area when you see that it's going to be nothing.

Good idea, they might get in the way of my gun and noose.

Nothing, I just believe Definitive EX is just a GOTY while the real thing will be MGS3 Remake, I doubt Konami will do chapter 3 or Episode 51.

I'm ok with this. MGS3 with pachinko video graphics would make me uncontrollably happy. With that, Last Guardian, FF7 Remake, and finally FF XV, I couldn't ask for anything else in my gaming life except for Megaman Legends 3. But Capcom are more soulless than Konami, so that'll never happen.

Why do you guys do this to yourselves?

Even if this product does exist, the only thing it will end up being is Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain(with included dlc) on one disc.

The only cool thing that could come from this if they make any changes, is allowing you to bring TPP equipment into GZ.

it's probably just ground zeroes and TPP together in a bundle. And probably all the DLCs of TPP also included. I highly doubt there will be any chapter 3 content. On the other hand konami should take that updated MGS 3 they made for pachinko and do a proper remake for Neo, Scorpio and PC.

You doubt they'd do a chapter 3, but would do a full remake of MGS3?

Haha okay...it's not happening.

I already have strong feelings of nostalgia for MGSV.

There's something about the tranquility of Mother Base, or the calm of the sun rising over a desert outpost I just cleared, which really sticks with me.

Even with the lacking story, MGSV is a fucking amazing game and honestly gets way too much undeserved hate, a lot of games wish they were as fun and ran as well as this beauty.

I like to think of MGSV as a surreal lifestyle simulator. The story might have a loose and uneven structure, but hey, so does life. You get to immerse yourself in Snake's search for purpose and all the weird places it takes him. You save the world along the way, but it's more about the journey than the destination. MGSV has such a distinct vibe to it. It really is a memorable experience -- a bit unsettling, melancholy and morally dubious, but not without a sense of heart and hope. :)

It's praised all over though. I think it deserves the hate for not including things we all expected and took for granted. If they got a year longer to develop it chapter 2 might not have been composed of 90% re-runs from chapter 1. For example.
Survival aspects refined from MGS3 should have been there. A livelier wildlife perhaps?

God I hope they one day release a remake of MGS3 using the fox engine or better.

The more time you gave the team, the better the game would've been. But I somehow don't think MGSV's final chapter would ever be different. That was a design choice, like Peace Walker's epilogue was.

More unique missions, locations and story segments I bet.

Why would this version have Chapter 3? Konami has to first milk us for the collected version and *then*, a little later down the line, release MGA V: Ultimate Definitive Edition.

So true. I've had some of the most fun in any video game with The Phantom Pain. Sure, I was disappointed with the story and missions, etc. but it played so damn well and was so much fun. And the open world structure allows me to just dive back in and randomly mess around with outposts and try out all sorts of stuff.

Is that... is that box art within box art? Why, Konami, why?

I like it, actually. Rereleases let more people play a game, but devalue the original for collectors. By making it ugly, it keeps demand for the original, but allows people to still buy and play the game.
