I can't wait until Trump starts bashing the GOP even harder now for failing to support him.

Yes, yes, this is great. This is so good. This is amazing. Better than TV.

I don't like this.

Trump moving out further to the right and to extremes just makes it easier for the rest of the GOP to disavow him and distance themselves.

Rather would've seen Trump go down together with the established party elements. Trump will be seen as a historically bad candidate and campaign in the future, so the further someone gets away from him now, the better. Moves like this will make it easier for the GOP to do just that, they'll be able to bounce back quicker.

You know that movie? That awesome movie? Big Trouble In Little China? Where that guy just gets so mad he blows up?

I think this is a possible thing now.

The thing is, that Trumps base comes from the GOP base.

Basically let's say the GOP/Dem split is 50/50.

Trump came in, and he riled up the 30% of that split. So it's something like 30:20/50.

But now the scales are tipping. Alot of the base Trump riled up is having second thoughts. So it's something like 20:30/50. The 20% that is hardcore for Trump, will go down with Trump. The remaining 30 want to correct their course to the public.

Basically, the GOP is split between pro Trump and anti Trump. If Trump further holes himself to being the anti-establishment candidate, then that split he's created within the GOP will start infighting worse than before. Every future election will be marred with 'Is that GOP candidate an establishment lackey?'. For that base supporting Trump, it will become tainted. Even worse than Bern Bros who COULD'VE gone the same way as Trump in their fanaticism. However most of them were reeled in, more or less. Trumps base though? He's the candidate. He can't lose. Trumps assured them. If he loses, it's because it was rigged against him and the GOP didn't give their full support.

It's great. It'll damage the GOPs base with infighting, and it's already damaged the perception fo the GOP to outsiders.

So, he's just going to do a Thelma and Louise off the deep end for the rest of the campaign? Wow, it's really going to get ugly.

Trump doesn't give a shit about the Republican party or any Republican who has to get re-elected, his going to burn this motherfucker down

That's if Bannon just feeds Trumps ego. If he's a yes man, then it's going to get completely ugly. Trump already ran on an anti-establishment platform, and if he doubles down on him, then not even Paul Ryan will be safe from Trumps rhetoric. This is great. I hope Trumps ego gets boosted to the point where he's attacking everyone.

I can't imagine Bannon moderating Trump's tone in any way, shape, or form.

Here comes the revolution, just not in the party you expected.

What is he doing? We are pretty much in 4th Quarter and he's hiring completely new players into the field who have had no prior experience or history with his campaign?

The Republican Party will make an excellent Netflix Series a few decades from now.

Damn, Trump is about to put all his chips on the table.

Taking everything he has said into consideration, combined with my wildest, most out there thoughts and imagination, it's beyond impossible to predict, or even try to comprehend what could possibly come out of his mouth next.

Encouraging Trump to be more of an unabashed nationalist sounds perfect. Who knows, by the time November rolls around everything but Alabama and West Virginia might be on the table.

How soon before he starts bashing all those that have been around him or how they attempted to sabotage him claims.

On an entertainment level this is some end season plot twist shit that will keep me popcorn munching until the grand finale. As a human being who inhabits a world where the USA's political direction matters I am waiting with baited breath

Hate Trump. But strategically, if Ailes comes too, he just bought himself 2 news outlets, however biased and retarded as they are.

Just bought? He's had them both for months now.

Fox has been against him in the past. But they've come around. I just predict FULL ON unabashed and retarded support for Trump and Clinton bashing from Fox. Yes. More than usual.

It's statistically impossible for him to win at this point, no?

highly improbable at this point. but not impossible

Historically, I don't think anyone has gone on to win the Presidency after being so far behind as Trump is now.

truman was considered toast in '48. his opponent hardly even campaigned everybody thought he was so fucked. but yeah i don't think there's ever been a "comeback" of the magnitude trump would need
