Old Noctis model looks good but he's a totally different character, can't believe they couldn't just age the original design properly, the face structure is completely different.

Actually they did, just watch again the 50min video again, in ch0 he's wearing the same generic western style armor that Regis used, I even said in the video thread that they should have put him with his roen suit, which is cool that the model image has him with it, but it also gives us a closer look to his face and as other people have said that couldn't be Noctis.

There's more than meets the eye there I think. Besides, if that were the main image they want of Noctis, then the CG render would have had that same look.
 
Not my favourite SE character designs but they still look very good. I noticed the Lightning resemblance immediately. All of their women look fantastic. It's the core four I'm not fond of.

Now where's Cidney?

They wanted to hide how much of a clusterfuck Vs13 really was and that they had in fact cancelled that game...maybe!?

That doesn't make it any less stupid? I really don't see how Arena's outfit is worse then them running around in fights with their entire chest and abdomen exposed. They're all bad but in different ways in my opinion. That was the initial point of my post.

Jesus, does Noctis look hilariously bad here in comparison. These anime-human-dolls really need to die after FFXV. The contrast between the Kingsglaive'd and OG FFXV designs is too jarring. Should've just been consistent and Kingsglaive'd everything in the game. Though, it might just be because these are the CG renders, the in-game model from chapter 0 didn't stick out too much from what I remember.
 
I just realized that Old Noctis looks like a more muscular Kylo Ren with a beard.

Young Noctis looks fine. I guess you hated every other FF character design since 7 too then?

The contrast is jarring. They should have either changed everything or left everything alone. But he did say they need to move on from Nomura's designs after XV, which I disagree.
 
Old Noct looks good, but he looks nothing like his younger counterpart. One is super anime looking, while the other looks more realistic. It's a little jarring, but maybe in-game it'll look a bit better.

Ugh no, they should stick to the stylised designs instead of just scanning people and using that as a model.

If I were to attempt to rationalise Squares character designs (god help me), i'd say anyone whose occupation involves the army or regular battle wears full armour. So Kain, Cecil, Auron, Steiner, the judges from XII etc. Then you have the 'oh no i'm just a regular guy and i've stumbled into this huge story' type, which is where Tidus and Vaan come in.

You have Beatrix who should wear armour like Steiner except she has her cleavage on show and Aranea who should look like Kain except she has her midriff on show and chest of course.

There's probably exceptions though.

Wat, no. It's just that I don't like it anymore the more realistic the graphics get. It's a weird hybrid that looks more and more jarring. I had no problem with it when they were more stylized like in FFVII-FFXII. To be fair it's mostly Noctis, though, because he has a strangely derpy face in his in-game model. Don't know what it is. His 2011 model looked better, imo.

It's probably the silly hair and his puffier face that makes him look goofy to me somehow :D

To be fair, in-game it doesn't look that jarring. It's probably the CG renders that seem to use two completely different art-styles.
 
All I can see is a million layers of clothes and pockets everywhere. I like they all have black as main color (or white in Luna's case) and they are not full of completely random colored clothing like in past FF games.

Also holy shit, old Noctis totally looks like Keanu Reeves.
