"Collect shit with your shit collecting gun"
OMG
Lmfaoo yeah that's where I lost it too.
"Collect shit with your shit collecting gun"
OMG
I could forgive literally all of this if No Man's Sky was a good $60 video game. Instead, it's a mediocre game that I would have maybe thought about spending $15 for.
"Collect shit with your shit collecting gun"

One difference is Sean actually said the entire planet was destructible and they're clearly not. The 'levelolution' events were never claimed to be more than they are.
So, is No Man's Sky the biggest scam of this generation of gaming?
Right!? I just dont understand how the game industry operates. If some of these developers were companies in most other industries it seems like they would go out of business really quick or be litigated to obliteration.
No.
My money is on Star Citizen for that Title.
getting a little technical there
sand is in the game...
Implying a fan did it under what evidence?
So you need a PR person so you don't lie about your own project which you are in control over in an effort to sell it? Repeatedly?Hello Games just needs a PR person instead of having those so close to the project being the face of it. That's all this comes down to. They're a small studio that has been thrusted into the limelight but without the resources to properly manage it. I think Sony did them a disservice in promoting and pricing this as a full product without also providing or suggesting a PR representative for Hello Games.
Bless you. I just did this and got the money back in my PSN wallet no problem. Shouts to Jonathan the PSN guy.
Feels good to have my money back off that charlaton.
Receipts?
I don't know... Seems pretty standard in many other industries as well...

The amount of lies and BS being repeated and copy pasted across the board is staggering. And the sad part is that there are actually some good points that need to be adressed between them.
I am not talking about Sean Murray and Hello Games here, but the so called Anti-NMS "defender of the people" crusaders.
- There is no Sand! / There is sand
- There are no beaches! / There are beaches
- There is no planetary rotation/ real star systems! / Adressed in patch 1.03, it was removed due to feedback. And after looking for waypoints located on the complete opposite side of a planet I was on, or completely missing a planet because it was "hiding" behind a giant planet, I get why. I do regret that though.
- There are no Deserts! / There are deserts
- There are no Giant crashed ships! / There are giant crashed ships
- There are no Giant creatures! There are giant creatures
- There is only a handful of planet variations! / Way more than that, specially once you get out of the pre determined paths and explore Blue/ Green/ Red stars systems
- Creature AI is completely missing! I have seen myself creatures have territorial/ erratic and agressive behaviors not just toward the player but each other
- There is no real trade system, it's only a mindless grind!/ There is actually a system of risk/ reward with some very pricey items involving Sentinels, and outposts have items available in systems marked as being in extra demand. Pirates will target you if you have valuable cargo.
Etc.
I still read your posts and agree. That has to mean something.I was calling this guy moly all along and would be shouted down each time
Now I'm proven right and none of it matters I feel empty
Yeah that's my issue with all of this. People are believing all the stuff that they read that are objectively incorrect and demand receipts to be proven otherwise. It clouds the view of the things that actually ARE blatantly missing from the game.
Why are people defending this game?
Jesus Christ.
Why are people defending this game?
Jesus Christ.
Same reason some are BS about it.
May be because they don't hate it like you do IDK.
That's actually more of a Mighty N9 gif...
Because people are saying that things are missing when they aren't?
Was landing manually ever advertised?Like landing your ship manually or using your ship in the atmosphere?
Because people are saying that things are missing when they aren't?
Aside from the bonkers "I SAW A ROCK IN THE E3 FOOTAGE WHEN THE SHIP LANDED FOR THE FIRST TIME BUT ON MY FIRST PLANET THE ROCK WAS BEHIND ME. THATS BULLSHIT" arguments (an exaggeration), there's a lot Murray said about the game we know isn't true thanks to a data mine.Because people are saying that things are missing when they aren't?
Wait, you can't manually land your ship on a planet?
Because people are saying that things are missing when they aren't?
Because people are saying that things are missing when they aren't?
Nope. You'll never get most elements without landing. Is it possible to play the game efficiently without ever landing on a planet?
Rocky desert or sandy desert? I also don't think I've ever seen screenshots with beaches in it, but it's been a while since I looked into the photo thread...
damn that was good lol
You can just buy the mats for the warp drive fuel cell at the space stations. I don't imagine it would be that hard to get to the center without landing on a planet.Nope. You'll never get most elements without landing.
Still missing a lot of features and constantly crashes and bugs.
It's not hate. It's not defending their shit.
Was landing manually ever advertised?
About "using your ship in the atmosphere", one thing I have not seen yet is getting wingmen and pursuing escaping pirates in an atmosphere. Given that pirates did not follow -me- when diving in one, I have some doubts, but this is by no means a conclusing proof.
But "using" my ship in atmosphere? Do it all the time (the real issue is it costing you 25% of your fuel for each take off btw).
Murray answering: "Yes you can land manually!"
Translation: It's manual because you have to manually press a button to do it.
How many people have you seen?
Looking at this screenshot I wonder why even fucking sand didn't make it into the game. I mean, it can't be that hard to have a "gentle slopes near water = chance of sand beaches" rule, can it? It's such an easy way to make the environment much more interesting and nice to look at.
Or HG realised they just don't like sand because it's coarse and rough and gets everywhere.
...
I have yet to see a place with sand between the water and the grass etc.
I took this one some days ago, prettiest planet yet:

Edit: Well, meant to reply to Hanmik's post...

Didn't the Patch notes say it's reduced, not removed? Though it would be interesting to know if someone has tested planetary rotation in the unpatched version.- There is no planetary rotation/ real star systems! / Adressed in patch 1.03, it was removed due to feedback. I didn't say there wasn't anything missing, I said the reason people are 'defending' the game is because there are clearly things in that reddit post that are either subjective or wrong (as evidenced by the fact that some of them have since been corrected). Its not a binary thing of saying everything about the game is perfect, or that it is all lies and all features are missing.
Didn't the Patch notes say it's reduced, not removed? Though it would be interesting to know if someone has tested planetary rotation in the unpatched version.
No no no and no. That's not how this works. The order of things is: devs shouldn't lie and deceive. That's what you should advocate first and foremost.
