I´ve been getting into pokemon mood again thanks to the VC releases, Pokemon Go and Sun and Moon coming out.

Since ORAS and X&Y are sold out everywhere right now, can i get those codes at gamestop without having a game? Yo, i want a code for "insert current monthly pokemon here" and they give it to me? Cause if so, I´m gonna get some on monday and tuesday next week.

You don't need to show them the game, just ask for one or two at the counter. So, yes, you can get codes, but they're not much use without a game. These ones expire in about 2 months after the events end, and they won't be valid for Sun and Moon.

Anyone having trouble redeeming codes? I got mine today and when I try to connect to enter, I just get an error 001-0502 and that it's unable to connect to the server. My 3DS internet seems to work fine though.

Looking at the website, it says the distribution ends August 24. Did it end early? If not, I will go get one tomorrow. Seems like it's over with though.
