When the debates come, Clinton should prepare a stack of binders full of opposition research on all the contradictory positions, controversies and lies Trump has said in the past.

Then every time Trump opens his mouth, she should simply throw out a binder instead of deigning to address his non-point.

I never said tha- *BLAM*. Binder. There it is.

This is all hokey- *BLAM*. Binder. That's not what you said.

Would you stop those it- *BLAM*. Binder. Get good.

Hillary Clinton really is Batman.

Oh boy, this sounds sincere. Hard to buy that this is anything he actually supports when his entire campaign has been fueled by xenophobia.

It's just a play for votes, and would never be acted upon when in office.

If true this is going to help him a lot. The crazy supporters will just see it for what it is (pandering to 'independents' and 'moderates'), while those who support republican policies will have more cover to support him. It's a win-win. We'll see the polls closing in on each other before the debates.

FOREIGN INVADERS BROKE THE LAW, STEALING TAX DOLLARS, UNDER ORDERS OF FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS, COULD BE TERRORISTS, THEY SEND US THE WORSE OF THE WORSE ON PURPOSE

A NATION IS NOT A NATION WITHOUT CONTROL OVERS IT BORDERS, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

Calm down Brexit

I knew the trump campaign was going to avoid clarifying if trump would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants. Maybe waiting for trumps speech, maybe keeping it vague. Trump is consistent with what he said last month...

Look, the guy is a fucking moron and his extreme followers are racist nuts, but he's made a few decisions that have been starting to win me over abit as a libertarian. Im not saying im gonna vote for him yet (so dont attack me just yet) , still need a lot of winning over before I come to that decision, but who knows? He may not be the harbinger of doom that we thought he was? Just a thought, please dont kill me gaf.

it's been over a year of Trump being a horrible person and an idiot.

If you are even remotely thinking of voting for him, you deserve every ounce of shit you get.

His base will accept this. He will just shift the blame on "muslims" and "new immigrants", which will sound fair enough for them. I am curious about how it will be received among hispanics that are US citizens.

Isn't he running an ad buy in Florida right now that centers around showing helicopters and armed border patrol teams rounding up Mexican immigrants?

Hes obviously trying to get votes from "fuck you got mine" hispanics.

I don't think the people still supporting Trump at this point would abandon him if he showed up on a porn streaming site with a guy from ISIS.

They won't abandon him for doing something worse

But if you were supporting Trump cause he was going to "kick the browns out"? This might make you go "eh fuck him he's just like the rest"

He spent the last year running a platform of shitting on every minority group he could think of, and just two days ago he told black people that their lives are so shit that they might as well vote for him anyways. I'm not believing for a second that this asshole changed.

Something like this would give an excuse for those who want to vote for Trump/the GOP but have been getting pushed away by the negativity surrounding him.

It doesn't take much for people to enact their mental gymnastics to rationalize something, and you can already even see in this thread a few people considering "Oh hey, maybe he's not so bad after all".

Whether many people believe him, or at least pretend to is the question, as well as how much of his core base would turn away.

The overall balance of it will probably bring him up a bit, or at least staunch the bleeding. Presuming he doesn't shoot himself in the foot again. There are lots of people who -want- to vote for the self-interested policies of the GOP (e.g. lower taxes), but are afraid to look like monsters while doing it. Things like this will comfort them.

You are nuts man. This guy will bring total destruction to the US.

Umm all that garbage he said doing the speech says otherwise.

No tot mention the ad they release,so I dont get what is the point.

Thats why this is a leak. Its a test. If Trump came out and said this himself without testing it out it could be disastrous. Leaked through Univision though? If it doesnt get traction and angers his supporters then the Trump campaign can deny. If his base get the "nudge nudge, wink wink" that Donald isnt going to do this but its a lie to get the "browns" to vote for him expect more promises to minorities he has no intention of keeping.

This look like a desperate attempt to get Latino vote.
But it really seems like a trap Ala Eric Cartman. Please come forward we will give you papers. Ahaha no get on the sling shot over the border!

I seriously doubt that. Trump beat out the republican field by going the farthest to the right on their biggest issue, immigration. His supporters already believe he is winning the race, many of them are blatantly racist...why would they cosign this (assuming it's true)?

This base has turned on multiple candidates due to immigration flip flops or even the slightest unpurity on the subject. Why will Trump be any different? Racist/bigoted/etc supporters put up with half measures from politicians all the time because they understand the politician has to put on an act; LBJ had many supporters who didn't believe the CRA would become as strong as it did for instance, instead thinking he was just bullshitting for black votes. But this isn't a half measure or a fake, it's full blown amnesty (from their perspective).

It is rather smart because he will say this is what he meant all along, and that it was the evil press who was misinterpreting it and putting words in his mouth.
All his folowers will hear is "the evil press" and eat it up.
And while most minorities will hopefully see through it there wil be a bump.

How do people support someone that doesn't know what they are doing from one minute to the next?

His campaign has no structure or fore thought.

Look past his words. It's obvious he doesn't plan to implement any of the policies he parrots. If you vote for Trump, you are voting for a personality and not an actual economic or political plan. You are letting yourself get swayed by demagoguery.

The only way this kind of move would make sense to me is if they're somehow convinced the base won't abandon him (because what are they going to do, vote Hillary?), and they believe the latino population in the US are secretly Republicans deep down who just need an olive branch or two to earn their vote.

This is literally it. This was Republican Plan A going into the primaries before Trump came in and tripped them up. There's a hope that they can win over latinos because they're all Catholic and hate the gays and/or that commie Castro.

Yep, if this is true he's done. That core base that got him to where he is are going to abandon him
Who will they vote for?
Surely not Clinton.
These people will still vote for trump because he has that R next to his name. In their eyes, 12 years of Democrats is way too much. Same goes for every Republican that claims they are not voting for trump? They are, because they still have to go to work the next day and they don't want Democrats in power any longer.

I think people put on an act for the camera but once they are in that voting booth, with out people telling them what to do or being judged by a vocal minority, they vote R, and tell everyone else they voted Hillary.
