Fitting into the hacker motif, I want to see Sombra have a sort of Mute like ability.
Like, her first ability is to silence the first ability of her target for 5 or 6 seconds.
what would be great, is if this acted as an interupt as well. Things like pulling reaper out of his wraith form, halting Rein's charge, turning off 76's sprint, no more blinks for Tracer, Pharah just falls to her death.
This could make for some really fun moments. Like silencing a DVa that just charged over the Well on Ilios, to see her fall to death.
This would give her a natural counter/countered system with several characters. Letting her counter characters with good escape abilites, but not being able to counter characters with good damage abilities.

That sounds way too similar to Ana's sleep ability to me, only difference being you can stop Reaper's wraith form.

Hmm, I feel like turning off people's abilities would be way too powerful. If she really had the ability to turn off Pharah's flight, people would simply stop playing Pharah, it would be way too annoying to constantly fall to your death.
So I decoded the string that you get from that ARG page. Definitely looking like an early reveal of some form.

Still figuring out what a stealth character's ULT might be. We haven't really had any ults that disrupt the enemy team outside of simply killing or doing damage to them so maybe something similar to CoD's radar jammer but worse (though it wouldn't make any sense logically) could be cool.

Best ULT would be a forced character control. Hijack and control an enemy char and make them shoot allies. They can also become target table by allies.
Basically an ulting genji can work both ways and makes ULT use more strategic.

I wonder if her ultimate will be some sort of thing that lets her see the ultimate status of other players so she can warn teammates when someone is getting close and they can proceed to pre pare for it.

Oh god, that'd be horrible. Imagine someone jacking a Zen in the backline, he'd then proceed to mow down half of the team with discord before they can work out what has gone on. And how would you counter it? By killing your own team member? You'd be down a healer then.

That would be a weak ultimate, but I definitely think "information" will be part of her kit somehow. It'd be cool if she had a single-target version of Widow's ult that lasted longer. You now know where that annoying Genji or Tracer is at all times.
Another cool, thematic thing would be "hacking" other players' vision or HUDs (shutting down or scrambling information on their screen with little Sombra skulls popping up everywhere). Or shutting down Shift/E abilities for a few seconds.
I haven't followed OW closely for a while and this has probably been brought up a million times, but I wonder if Sombra might use holograms / other illusion abilities instead of stealth. I think it'd fit in with her character pretty well and might not be as hard to balance as stealth stuff.

Chances are her stealth is the Ult, thus all the character announcements to it. Just like a teleporter. I doubt they would record that many lines for a standard ability.
Main difference is really that one is a projectile that halts all movement and abilities. The other is a hitscan and only mutes a single ability.

That's...actually a super clever way to re-use assets.
That would give her a slightly unfair advantage because she'd actually have a wider field of view and the player would be able to see slightly behind him.
I already don't like the fact that you can see ~1m behind Reinhardt when you use his shield, but that's probably more out of necessity because otherwise you wouldn't see anything in front of you and you need to see the whole range of your shield.
Sombra most probably won't have any feature or ability that woudl necessitate a 3rd Person view.
EDIT: ~1 hour to go.
Expect the forums to go down around that time, though. That DDoS attack will come from those still able to play the game.

I'm hoping she's a human latina. Having an omnic would be cool and all, but I just want a latina human character represented. Many people want an omnic however, and since she's a hacker--chances are she is one.
I think Athena being the next female omnic character is more appealing imo, since she's the announcer and could have some cool 4th wall breaking abilities. Also, the most interesting omnic in the world omnic.

for example, sombra possibly being a stealth hero and ana's injuries, which are apparently connected to sombra, being similar to venom snake's injuries as they both have pieces of metal stuck in their skull. maybe there's more there but these where the ones i picked up almost immediately
