Not even close.That's the grey area in advertisement description. If some dude says "Hey my Playstation games are not in 4K, like i was led to believe, because the badge on the "Playstation" that says "Playstation 4K" implied the "Playstation Games" are native 4K.".... then the ASA will look into it and if they think "he's got a point" then it stands, but if they accept Sony's stance it's a media centre first then they will let it slide.
I'm not saying it should be PS4K or not, I'm saying that past cases show the opportunity to fall foul of the rules is there, based on past cases.
ASA only agreed with the complaint because they were advertising 4K content where there was none. Naming somthing 4K and advertising 4K content are two completely different things. Now if Sony starts saying all games will play at 4K and they don't, then you have a case that's similar.
There's no gray area here unless your really reaching with no real legal backing, which is what you're doing here. LoL
