Give me that 5 to 5.5 TF machine for $449 to $499.
This. $449 preferably, but I will still pay it regardless. I just want the extra power for my VR games. ^_^

Was 5TF a new rumour is it still only 4.2 and 5.5?
As was anything weighing up to 10lbs really. But things happen.Anything above 4.2 is a fantasy
...
There's a sense of finality when everything is laid out like this.
I suppose I'll temper my expectations going into the NEO reveal.
There's simply too much logic in your post to ignore.
Today's leaked specs strongly point to something more than 4.2TF.
But it'll be fun to see people going "wow how did they do it??" come the 7th 😏
Just convince someone to screen it on one of the big screens in the office.Shit, I almost feel like skipping our annual co-worker party at Dogfish Head. We are taking over a water park for a day and go wild there, but I'm so hyped about the Playstation meeting and Neo announcement... What to do Gaf?
was about to ask the same...what leaked today? What leaked specs today? Are you referring to it being 10 pounds?

This thread moves pretty quickly. Is there a bullet point list of all the info or rumors or what not we know so far? Does the Neo make waffles?
2017 is also the 15th anniversary for Kingdom Hearts, but I don't think we're getting KH3 next year.
I thought the debate wasn't until 9/26?Apple then Sony then Trump debate....big 3 on the 7th
I thought the debate wasn't until 9/26?
I see, thanks.there is a presidential forum on Sept 7 at night yea.
not a debate per se, more like a short interview to each candidate. 1 after the other.
I'm curious to what software they will show..
I wonder if a games like Destiny and CoD will get 'neo modes' right away...

Your avatar quote checks out.
Why can't they make it more than 4 teraflops?
Would be the dream scenario... with 12-16GB RAM and a CPU not named Jaguar.

Because it is still a PS4, not a PS5.
Microsoft want Scorpio to actually be a replacement for XB1. Neo is just a premium PS4 and will be obsolete when PS5 comes out.
Jokes aside, apparently it's quite big and heavy (4.5Kg), and still uses Jaguar cores. Most people are leaning towards $499 price point (with a 1TB HDD).
- We don't know anything.
If they up clock it, it may be more than the 4.2 thats been reported, also it comes down to costs, no way Sony is going to lose money on this thing, as it is now, the possible price would be between 400-500Why can't they make it more than 4 teraflops?
That's it's own event this week.Maybe CoD IW MP will be there. The reveal was supposed to be in September
I still think $399 would be perfect. Yes, NEO is a premium machine, but so was OG PS4 at launch, so why make it more expensive?
The new 14nm FinFET APU consists out of eight x86 ‘Zen Lite’ LP cores at 2.1 GHz (they’re not Jaguar cores, as previously rumored) and a Polaris GPU, operating on 15-20% faster clock than the original PS4.
$399 is the expected price for a new console from MS and Sony, not a "premium" console. Premium is more along the lines of OG PS3 $599 and launch Xbox One $499.I still think $399 would be perfect. Yes, NEO is a premium machine, but so was OG PS4 at launch, so why make it more expensive?
I think some are missing that this is going to be a premium product and it being $399.99 which is only 50 more that a current PS4 is not what one thinks of a premium product. Forgive my confusion. Everything I read in most places says Jaguar cores, but back in Apr./May articles said not using Jaguar cores.
Here's a quote from one article:
So, why the difference in articles in April and May to now where I read Jaguar?

I'm thinking $150 is too close, maybe $249 and $449 or $199 and $399.
Can someone post the leaked specs?
How much more powerful is it and what should we expect?
More likely to be the former - my personal guess - than the latter.
What makes it more premium than the original PS4 at launch though? I don't get all this premium talk. Is it made out of gold or something?$399 is the expected price for a new console from MS and Sony, not a "premium" console. Premium is more along the lines of OG PS3 $599 and launch Xbox One $499.
Thinking about it, since Sony have no competition in the premium market until Scorpio, they can get away with $499 and have the Slim be $299. That is a big enough price difference so that there is no confusion on what is the model PS4 one should get depending on budget.
