Yeah, I want to fly a Havoc through Blade Runner-style neon cityscapes.

I've got fond memories of the original, it came out soon after I started working at my current employer. New job, small flat, little 14" portable TV, Wipeout 2097 and G-Police. Happy days, must have been October/November 1997.

Even with a powerful enough CPU, it is up to each individual developer if they want to target 30fps or 60 fps. Some will still want the best looking games and target 30 to improve graphics and resolution and some will see it as an opportunity to improve the frame rate and improve the graphics to a point where they can get a consistent 60 fps with some bells and whistles.

Man this event is solely to announce the Neo, pricing and release date information. No one is coming here for the Slim.

Sure they may mention VR and PSN. But this event is for Neo. Otherwise they'd announce that other stuff in a blog post. VR has been talked about at length. It'll get a mention here since yes you are right it's about a month until release. But Neo is what we're all waiting for.
