So what's the consensus on whether Neo will be able to deliver faster framerates? Feasible, or is the CPU not powerful enough? Worst case scenario, all we're getting are more sub 30 fps games with more pixels.

Every game should be smoother on Neo.

Whether you'll see a step jump from 30 to 60 on Neo will be much more game dependent. Any game with a CPU frametime <= 22ms on standard PS4 that is predominately ALU bound on the GPU could get there.

So let's take bets: Do they mention Teraflops or not?

Sure, either in the conference itself and/or in a press release spec sheet after. I think it's worth recalling that at the original PS4 announcement they were actually fairly non-specific about tech specs outside of the memory setup. 'Almost 2 teraflops' was the one passing ballpark reference to horsepower - technical discussion was much more preoccupied with the developer led motivation of the design and some of the tweaks they made vs PC. We had to wait for the press releases for confirmation of the details. I expect a similar focus here - perhaps mention of the ballpark perf increase over standard PS4, but mostly a focus on the technical motivations of the design and maybe any other more distinct architectural tweaks they've made (regardless of their significance, or lack thereof). And then actual details in a press release after.

We already have an unannounced feature to think about. Any new game announcements will be great. The idea that this won't be a major event is pretty ludicrous. There's no need for a PlayStation meeting if it won't be a major event. I don't get why people don't see this

I'd be cool with this tbh. Kinda hoping the Slim is worthy enough to replace my PS4 as far as heat and power consumption goes. I'll only buy a Neo if the price is right for me (399&#8364; tops).

Hey, I just realized...has anyone proposed the name PS4 Platinum Edition? They use Silver and Gold for the headsets so it would fit right in line with that. I still think it's going to be PS4K, but that thought just occurred to me. Would make a lot of sense, imo.

I expect PSNeo will officially be called PlayStation 5. Then Sony will announce from this point onwards, every new iteration of PlayStation consoles will be fully backwards compatible with PS4 games onwards, newer games will work on older consoles until they're just too much for it to handle (similar to smartphones). PS5 will have a catchphrase similar to Scorpio's "Beyond Generations", thus ending the traditional console cycle as we know it.

So, this confirms that the chip is made by TSMC and thus 16nmFF. I wander where Neo's chip is being produced then.

I'm guessing that's mostly RoI content... possibly even getting Supremacy preview for a week...

BUT more than anything... I'm hoping for a Destiny NEO mode. That'd be amazing.. I would assume Destiny is one of, if not the biggest game Sony has going consistently, so it makes sense... Even more so with their partnership..
