Fox News reporter: Hillary Clinton left 9/11 ceremony with 'medical episode'

My point is, all you have is what again?

At times she has had a 'coughing fit'

She has fainted in front of our very eyes.

Shes tripped a couple times.

So you add all this up, and you are what supposing a medical condition. I'm not saying it disqualifies a discussion, I just don't know what the discussion is. That the aforementioned means she has a medical condition? That she is now disqualified from being POTUS? What discussion do you want to have?

It's pretty crystal clear that the American people have concern about voting in a President who may be hiding poor health. Why you think that is not worthy of concern and discussion is strange to me. But whatever, I'm out of the thread, if you have more to say feel free to shoot me a PM.

And in my area, the highest temperature this year was 81 degrees.

Who cares what southern Minnesota feels? lol, I'm not going to have a different opinion of what is too hot or too cold based on what other people experience.

That's good for you but completely irrelevant as Hillary Clinton is not living in Alaska and 80degrees is nothing (quite the opposit - pleasant) in most parts of the country. So why would you even bring that up or defend the "it's normal for her to faint in this temperature" stuff.

I just don't know what the discussion is.
Is this real(we know it probably is by now)? What could have been the cause? What could the consequences be on her campaign down the line? What is the meaning of potentially ill global leaders(for example Putin disappeared for two weeks this year and the wildest rumors came up)?

80F unbearable for human beings? Are you guys kidding me? I currently live in a place where we reach 93F during day and I have no air conditioning lol. I'm perfectly alive.

As Presidents go, a passed out Hillary is still superior to Trump.

This. I don't care if she is frail and weak, I'd still vote for her. Her opponent is unacceptable and most not be President. I couldn't live in America with his piece of crap making decisions on the world stage.

Because someone asked where in the US people would find 80 degrees to be unpleasant weather? And you engaged in that exact discussion? Don't just reply to me about something very specific and only disengage from that specific line of conversation only when I make a point you cannot refute lol

Pay attention, sheesh

Even before that, she's leaning onto a low post and being held already. Then she needs three people holding her to get into a car with wide doors.

She was clearly feeling quite bad, for whatever reason. There's no way to spin that.

I've grown up in S.Fla and I was in marching ban in HS. I've seen plenty of people get heat exhaustion, and I've had it mysel. That's what happens, you get disoriented and need to cool off. It didn't look disconcerting from my internet diagnosis. Plus she was back out an hour later, it's not something extraordinary.

Even more stupid in this "If you talk about your her fainting you're a secret trump supporter" narrative is that it doesn't even make sense. Which Hillary supporter will say "Huh, she fainted, better vote for the racist who opposes everything I stand for now"?

The dumb rationale is "i'll vote for the healthier candidate" i mean, this kind of stupid exists, and that's the concern.

This california privilege. Welcome to the rest of America outside Alaska and California, brehs

Well then maybe I didn't quite get the context of the specific discussion at the time, excuse me.

Honestly I can't imagine any relevant voter numbers doing this. If Trump was close to Hillary in many ways/topics maybe, but he's pretty much the exact opposite so why would people change because of health. (And why wouldn't they vote Johnson or Stein instead in that case before going to trump)

Well then maybe I didn't quite get the context of the specific discussion at the time, excuse me.

You quoted a post replying to someone asking where people would find 80 degrees to be unpleasant, and then engaged in that specific discussion to show that 80 degrees is not abnormal for the state that I cited (but not the specific county).

O'Malley is most famous for being the inspiration for a corrupt figure on The Wire.
If you say so. I'm a Maryland resident, so my knowledge of O'Malley and Baltimore extend far beyond The Wire. Besides, I don't remember Carcetti being some oft used jab against O'Malley during the primary.

If you start to ovwrheat you start to overheat. That video is terrible though; shes already fainted and is being propped up.

I find it concerning she decided to race off to her daughter's; surely you would instead of standing waiting for a car in the sun find somewhere to sit and cool down with a drink.

That way shed walk back out. Instead she basically tried to find somewhere to hide. Thats a concern.

I'm from the UK so don't understand the US political process as much as you guys but doesn't the candidate with the next highest number of delegates gets offered the nomination. In this case it would be Bernie.

No, the party would have to elect a new candidate, but it wouldn't matter. The election is less than 2 months away, any candidate entering now would be killed, even against a disaster like Donald Trump.

I literally said that 80 degrees for a lot of people isn't pleasant lol

But if you want to feel outraged, please, don't let me stop you

if your max temp of the year is 80 degrees, your opinion on a new yorkers comfort level is kinda irrelevant or ancedotal wouldnt you say? you said it yourself, temperature is relative.

No. Basically the party would hold an emergency meeting and the delegates would vote on a new candidate. So Bernie could lose to Tim Kaine, for example, if delegates Clinton won just decided to fill in her VP pick rather than go to Bernie.

It is like you are intentionally ignoring me. I have specifically said a few times, what is there to discuss. I'm not saying you cannot have a discussion nor am I saying it isn't worthy. I'm saying what is the discussion.

Should I alter my vote based on this? Why does this mean she may be hiding poor health?

Neither of these candidates have been forthright with regards to their health. Trump released a comical health report, but we aren't going to get more from him that is for sure.

I just don't get why she is held to such a higher standard.

It's definitely a concern when someone faints. You don't want to see it happen to anyone. There are plenty of reasons perfectly health faint. It should be story, but so should it be that she seems quite fine now.

And city temperature and rural temperature can be 2 different things (although by all accounts NYC seems pretty decent today, especially after the past few days). And any event can be overwhelming. Not to mention age and diet can also cause lead to health episodes.

Oh please. You people come on. 80 degrees with a humidity isn't anything close to pleasant.

Will you shut the fuck up with your 80 degree bullshit already? Most of us don't live in the Arctic and wear shorts when it's 20 degrees outside to feel comfortable. Jesus Christ man.

I'll vote for a comatose Hillary Clinton whose lower half has been cryogenicaly frozen before I even entertain the idea of supporting Rump. We had a president who was so fat he couldn't bathe himself and another whose legs would've better served as dog chew toys but that didn't stop either of them, nor did Bush's ass surgery seem to matter. This is all a load of crap, my grandfather had an aneurysm at 80 and was to the point that I was being told to get my good suit refitted. That was 10 years ago and he's happily going to be supporting Trump this fall. Fuck off conspiracy theorists.

Tangentially related

The guy who posted the video of hillary was immediately hacked. They redirected everyone to email Stephen Bonnell, aka Destiny, for permission to broadcast the video.

Almost every news outlet is emailing him, thinking it to be legit. Now more people are emailing him to vent their outrage at him recording (he didnt).

someone else brought it up, I said it's kinda funny, and someone else asked for the link. Pretty much the end.

Woah. Weird.

You do know what fainting is right? When you heard she almost fainted, what did you expect to see? Your muscles go limp.

That's fainting. It happens to perfectly healthy people sometimes.

I'm sure some people are just shocked at this since its such a high profile person and to actually see footage of that happening to a high value person that might become the world's leading figure is quite unbelievable.

I don't get posts like this. Why does the video make the news worse? What do you people think a fainting spell looks like?

This video us going to be shown over, and over and over again. Right-wing media especially, is never gonna let this die. It is not a good look no matter how you slice it. This unfortunately matters because perception is reality. People don't want to vote for someone who they perceive to be unhealthy or weak.

She's from Arkansas people saying 80 degrees and humidity is hot are insane.

Maybe if she took off the wool pant suit she'd be comfortable.

I feel for her, but this is not a good look. No hiding that video either.

Hmmm, what do you think she's hiding?

But I wasn't replying to that, I was replying to the kind of weirdly growing antagonism over the "you think 80 degrees is hot? where are you, the arctic?" kind of thing, that looked like it was getting dogpiley.

Sitting in the cramped back seat of a car does not seem like a great place to be if you have heat exhaustion. She probably took a quick nap at Chelsea's apt.
