Fox News reporter: Hillary Clinton left 9/11 ceremony with 'medical episode'

A zombified Clinton would be a better choice than Trump.

I think thats the take home too. As a hillary voter, her health wouldn't for one second make me think "well, maybe ill give fascism a vote then." But apparently, there are still people on the fence. And those people aren't immediately turned off by fascism, because reasons, so.. I could see those people, seeing this as a reason to vote trump.

A literal urn containing her ashes would be better for this country than Trump.

Let me rephrase.

What I meant to convey was soft Democrats/independents/anti-Trump Republicans who could be turned off of her by these """health scares."""
likely democratic voters can probably feel urgency and definitely come out to vote for the democratic pick instead of staying home though. it won't be a vote for hillary but a vote to keep donald out of office. those soft voters might instead just stay home.

New video before the fainting
well at least she fainted/fell over with the van in front of her instead of falling right there on the ground in front of everybody.

Have you heard of John McCain? One of the main arguments against him was he was old and could die at any time.

I do. I made that argument.

The argument was "Do you really want to vote john mccain into the white house at his age, and put Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency?"

Not "Oh John, look at him flailing his arms around, he's so frail, so weak. We can't vote for him, he just can't handle it!"

There isn't a single fucking person in America right now going "a 70 year old grandma who has spent the last year+ on the campaign trail might be a bit ill this week? Shit I better switch my vote to the orange baby fascist whose health is assured by Doctor Sex Cake".

I think someone earlier was asking about presidential candidates and health. Off the top of my head, George H.W. Bush famously vomited on the Japanese prime minister and fainted, George W. Bush choked on a pretzel, and there's Reagan, but I'm not sure if he was displaying signs of Alzheimer's by the time his re-election bid started. Either way, their health wasn't major talking points of campaigns as far as I can remember. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Candidates. Not Presidents.

I think there's evidence he was displaying signs of Alzheimer's while in office, but it wasn't diagnosed or disclosed to the public until years after he left the White House.

True too - I mean, didn't 70% of Democrats say they'd vote for Hillary over Trump even if she was convicted of a felony or something like that?

This is why I hate politics. This is why I hate the current incarnation of media. I've seen the fittest people on Earth faint or otherwise suddenly become sick. This is not to say that Hillary has a perfect medical record, but somehow all common sense goes out of the window for anyone in the public eye as if they should be impermeable to catching a cold, overheating or otherwise feeling down. It's ridiculous.

I don't think this is true though.

Then why aren't more people talking about the 70 year old man who takes statin and aspirin daily, constantly eats fast food, has to do forums sitting the whole time, looks metabolically unhealthy, hides his balding with a shitty hairstyle, has a gastroenterologist as his PCP, and can't mentally handle even the slightest criticism?

It's still being used against him by his current Senate challenger.

Last I checked it was only his primary challenger Kelli Ward that kept bringing up the possibility of him dying.

oh come on, you really thihnk the whole frail/weak thing would be getting pushed if she were a man?

People cough. People faint. People get hot. Especially when wearing suits and bulletproof vests in 80 degree weather early on a morning.

It means nothing

You really think Trump wouldn't comment on his opponent being physically weak if he fainted? The dude has already brought up his fucking dick.

US political system is so fucking fucked if this is really something worth freaking out about. People are actually saying this says something about her quality as a politician or a leader?

Guess what: People get sick! It's a crazy concept.

President needs to be clear-headed and conscious in really stressful situations. You can't be serious if you think illness isn't a big deal for the most powerful position in the world... If she can't handle 80 degree weather how can she seriously be expected to deal with the most stressful decisions possible?

You dramatically overestimate the intelligence of the American public.

Nothing really happens here, though. Someone just whispers to her. She doesn't look unwell.

Nothing really happens? Are you fucking kidding?

She literally gets her illuminati directives to faint at a 9/11 memorial, as the names of the fallen are being recited.

Just wow.

Nonsense.

It's one episode, ONE, what is this. I'm pretty sure she's handled far, far hotter and will continue to do so.

i think people are talking about perceptions here

I don't know if there are any videos of candidates from other elections fainting on the campaign trail. Legit discussion on if this will affect her chances IMO. Plus, she fainted.

Oh clearly it is bad optics, I don't think anyone would say otherwise.

Would this push me to change my vote, absolutely not as I would vote for Kaine over Trump just as quickly. The overall situation is rather comical though, you have one candidate who may or may not have a health condition. Then you have another candidate who has shown every single day that he isn't qualified to be POTUS. Who am I going to vote for? The one who could potentially have a health issue.

I would prefer a mandatory physical with a detailed health record for both candidates, but that isn't going to happen. We got a letter summarizing Clinton's health condition and an absurd 'summary' for Trump. Just think if this is going to be a thing it should be equal for both candidates. Not gonna happen, I'm sure Trump's medical records are getting audited too.

It's just as ridiculous to jump to the conclusion that she's dying as it is to say that she's definitely fine. Some people in this thread seem to be acting like they are some omnipotent entity that can tell when someone is fine. Kind of silly if you ask me. And of course it's going to be picked up by media. If any presidential candidate faints, that's going to make the news. Why are people acting like it's some kind of crazy thing?

Only if you put years of evidence of her campaigning and other stressful activities aside for one moment of heat stroke or whatever it is.

The video hasn't been picked up by mainstream media, and the NFL is on. Just wait. #FaintingHillDawg

Nah, I actually think there is too much going on (fortunately) for this to pick up too much. 9/11 plus NFL means it largely gets deferred until tomorrow. By then Clinton will have been or and about for a whole and they'll have surrogates all over the place.

Hillary just shot herself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about american politics (I'm an expert), but honesty and health are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in 1920s America where you can become president by having polio. If you fall over and faint in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the american public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to vote for Hillary Clinton, nor will they vote for Tim Kaine. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Hillary has alienated an entire country with this fall.

Hillary, publicly apologize and cancel your campaign and you can kiss your presidency goodbye.

And she has been, for about almost the whole year and a half of this election.

Guess what? Shit happens.

That's not really true. It's been on MSNBC, Fox, and CNN. NBC cut into their 9/11 coverage to do a special report. I think people are just waiting to see how Clinton sort of responds. Like does she go into hiding for two days?
