I can only assume all the people putting Bama at 1 have not watched Bama play outside the USC game. Offense was terrible against an overwhelmed WKU team and both sides of the ball looked bad against an Ole Miss team that will do well to win 8 games. Going to require some serious soul searching if they want to win the division, let alone get in the playoff.

Who is going to beat Bama in the West or hell the East. Ole Miss is out two games they're done, LSU doesn't have a QB, A&M is A&M, Florida just lost their QB, Georgia I dunno haven't watched them. SEC isn't that hard to win for them honestly.

Based on the three games so far, I'd definitely pencil in LSU as a loss and maybe TAMU. Arkansas isn't outside the realm of possibility either with the way this team has looked, and how Arkansas has actually looked decent.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, it's not CFB-GAF's opinion that matters, but the committee's (and as a proxy pollsters). They are still the ones that catapult an unproven Texas up to #11 because of a pre-season ranking on Notre Dame, neither of which had much basis in fact. Compare 1 ranked team, with 3 top ten teams on Michigan's schedule, plus Colorado is most definitely better than Cincinatti, plus @Iowa and if we make it, the B1G CCG. That's 4-5 ranked teams on the scheduleCincinnati is a hell of a better team than whoever Michigan has played thus far, that's for sure.
If people actually analyzed Houston's schedule you would see that besides Louisville we still have to play Memphis and Navy away, two teams that were ranked last year and could potentially climb up the rankings this year as well. Plus Houston would have to face in a potential conference championship USF or ECU, more than capable teams that have already beaten P5 teams this year.

Probably worse than Del Rio is the fact that we lost Ivey for half the next game as well, for throwing a punch after the whole Del Rio hit. The O-Line wasn't great to begin with, but now we're down multiple starters. To be fair, Tennessee also lost some key starters yesterday.
