STFU, Vikings fans!

“[The crowd noise] was great when the defense was up, it was phenomenal,” Boone said. “When the offense is up, just shut up. I can’t say it any simpler than that. It’s starting to screw us up a little bit.

“It’s loud, for some reason, in the stadium. There’s a lot of times where we can’t hear the center. We could barely hear the snap count today a couple times—a couple false starts, because guys wouldn’t know when the snap was going. I’m not saying it’s the fans’ fault, but I’m just saying, it would be nice if they would shut the fuck up a little bit.”

Last time the Browns started 3 different QBs in their 1st 3 games of the season was 1988 (via @EliasSports). They went 10-6 & made playoffs.

My bad y'all, 8-8 is back on!

If you know how to spontaneously generate functioning OL players via practice I'm all ears!

one way to do it is to trade your best offensive lineman and a first round pick for a player who doesn't fit your system and is pretty worthless in said system. but only an incredible GM/Coaching staff can pull that off!

RBs are overrated, let's pay Suh 98.7% of the total allowable cap while Miller, Vernon, Clay, etc. walk.

Yeah that Suh contract has to be one of the worst ever. At least guys like Cox and Watt they can move all over the line and do a lot of different things. Fins would be so much better off keeping their own guys and drafting a young DT to plug in. Build up the OL give Tanny some more weapons and hope he really develops. It was a dumb signing when it happened and it looks worse now.

FMT pls, this doesn't involve practice so this doesn't answer my question!

I still cant believe the fins didnt match the Texans offer for Miller. Pay Suh over $100m to do nothing but cant pay a super talented young RB. Their GM should be fucking fired.

Suh has been playing great and that's not why we didn't pay Miller, we still have the cap to sign him, hell we offered a similar deal to CJ, the biggest problem with the run game is this offensive line is terrible at run blocking, just awful.

Pros
- No animu
- No chan
- No cheerleader roundup on my screen while i'm at work
Cons
-tabris

But friend it's spoiler-ed for the working people!! :(

You have to look into the future as well, though. Big contracts affect what you're willing to dish out to guys like Miller and there is no doubt in my mind it was a consideration. Maybe not for this season but for the seasons to come at the least.

Run blocking has been bad but the RBs are trash. Foster is a shell, Ajayi has no lateral agility, and the rest are just guys. Maybe Drake will show something if we're lucky but otherwise it's a heap of mediocrity.

I remember this. End of the year they played the Oilers at Cleveland. Cold, rainy and windy. Oilers offense sucked b/c they couldn't throw in those conditions. Cleveland won and hosted Houston again the next week for round 1 of the playoffs. Weather was better and Houston won

But both games were close, and Oilers had Moon for both games, and Cleveland was playing backups. I think they were down to the third string guy in the playoff game. Schottenheimer was a great coach. People thinking Houston is going beat the Pats b/c they are playing Briskett should remember the Pats still have Belichick

Giants defense looks really solid. I thought Reese was making a big mistake signing Vernon and Jenkins, especially Jenkins. But they look impressive up front. If anything, OBJ has been pretty down from his superhuman form
Defense has been stout thus far - helps when a portion of it isn't depleted by injury. Future and I traded posts few days ago surfacing how different the defenses are compared to yesterday's game to last year's fiasco in New Orleans. Total night and day. It's not so much the front seven (Casillas has been awesome, though; they've played a lot of nickel), it's the back four and the DL. Both OV and JPP are dealing with injuries but hopefully will be better this upcoming week.

As for OBJ, he had around 80 yards yesterday, but it would've been over 110 plus a TD if he had hung onto that pass from Eli on 2nd down.

A few #Seahawks fifth-round picks for this regime: Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Luke Wilson, Tharold Simon…

nice

edit: I thinking about the Texan's all time great 5th round picks. Like Randy Bullock.

Did you know Tom Brady was a 6th round pick?

Would you say the corners are good, or the pass rush just didn't give opposing QBs enough time to make the throws?

It also helps that we have ACTUAL receivers around him now. He doesn't *need* to be super human. Cruz showed he can be still a dynamic playmaker yesterday. That 40 yard catch and run prior to the fumble was vintage Victor man (though the fumble sucked).

Sterling Shephard out of the slot is also proving to be a dangerous dude. When you have that and just the FEAR or what Odell can do - that has the makings of a pretty dynamic offense.

Part of the issue as well is that McAdoo has been extraordinarily conservative with his offensive gameplans through two games. He was asked why the Giants didn't take more deep shots again the Saints secondary and his answer was straightforward "they were playing us super soft so we took what was underneath more often than not". On one hand, I can't blame him. Loved the kneel down at the end of the game over taking the TD as well. On the other, when you get into some of these games where the defense maybe doesn't play as well - you gotta unleash the reigns and let Eli and his receivers do their thing. Even if it leads to a turnover now and again! Hell, conservative game plan and all the Giants still put the ball on the ground 3 times.(though the Eli call was shit)
