Please don't anyone blame Munn. 1) she's the best, 2) it's pretty obvious SF is just in a new golden age and FMT's boy Jeddy was right

But you also had one last year.

Plus you've beat the Browns and the Bears. Not like Wentz beat the Cardinals and absolutely destroyed the Dolphins, unlike some elite franchise QBs.
We did have one. We gave him to Minnesota

And are you referring to injury prone Jimmy G? I wouldn't wager my franchise on a QB who can't stay healthy.

FMT was right all along when he called him AFRaud.

Why the hell did he have to play his one clutch game against us in the SB?

Its not fair!!!

First pre-season champions, and soon to be to be 1st quarter of the season champs!
I even had free Firehouse subs yesterday!

OMG, I remember when I was young and actually paid attention to power rankings.

I miss those days when I was carefree (i.e. stupid) and had a thick, full head of hair.

If only Miami could have scored more than 3 points and like 3 yards per play in the first half when it mattered.. It was like 15-2 first downs at one point. Hopefully they start better against the brownies.
Offense got off to a terrible start but they didn't turn the ball over or anything. Defense didn't get a stop until deep into the 2nd quarter and allowed three TDs on the first three drives. Show me a team that wins a game after that happens.

There was nothing clutch about it. Green Bay got an early lead and the defense sat on it.
Nah he played good in the SB. I tried to forget it but I can't.

It seemed like everyone was open all game and the only way we stopped them was when they dropped passes.

We still should have won except for that stupid fumble. :(

Didn't Fraudgers just pick on head and shoulders to ice the SB?
No he promised our running back money and support in his quest to kill the Great Satan.

I personally feel that because of Rodgers treason in aiding and abetting a known terrorist that the SB should be replayed between the Panthers and the Steelers (Delhomme has to start for the Panthers according to the rules as I understand them).

I'm not understanding your definition of the word "Clutch" then, clearly. Packers were ahead the entire game.
"Clutch" - playing well in the biggest game of the year.
Secondary definition - holding on tight to something. i.e. Tom Brady clutched his pillows and trembled with anticipation when he saw Giselle approaching with some new SO equipment.

Lane Johnson's suspension has come down, pending appeal:

Eagles tackle Lane Johnson was suspended by the NFL pending an appeal, league sources said.

The appeal hearing is scheduled for Oct. 4 and shortly thereafter a neutral arbitrator will render a decision. Johnson will play on Sunday against the Steelers. The Eagles have a bye the following week.

If the arbitrator upholds the suspension, Johnson will be suspended for the next ten games, starting with the Lions game on Oct. 9. He would be eligible to return to the team on Dec. 12 and play in the final three games of the regular season.

Rough, knew this 2-0 start was too good to be true. Wentz really needs to practice taking care of himself now because he'll be taking a lot more shots.

Because Ben didn't start his first game. Tommy gun was the starter until the Ravens killed him.

I am now a little worried about the Eagles game. I wanted that one to be a gimme but they look good. Could end up being a close game.

I think it'll be a close, good game, but the Steelers should have this. The Eagles would have to pretty much play a mistake-free game to win. Terrelle Pryor, Corey Coleman, and Alshon Jeffery all made huge plays against our secondary with trash OL and bad QBs. AB is gonna rip this secondary a new one, and Coates will give us fits too. If our front four can't get to Ben it'll be a long game. On the flip side, the Browns and Bears D are pretty bad, not to mention half of that Bears D was injured during that game. I don't know a lot about the Steelers defense but they should at least be better than those 2. It'll be a big challenge for Wentz, so I see the Steelers pulling out this one. Most Eagles fans have had that as a loss for a while.

Miami had 13 points in the first 6 quarters of the season prior to Pats in prevent mode 2nd half. Luckily the Browns are available for false hope.

Seahawks defense isn't bad... Regardless the offense did enough to win that game, defense collapsed on the last drive.

Pats in prevent mode, lol. Have you watched Bill Belichick coach a football game before? Don't act like he's comfortable with a lead of any amount. Tannehill had an incredible second half no matter how you try to spin it, and if the defense could stop a fucking LeGarrette Blount sweep once in awhile the Dolphins would have tied the game and likely gone on to win.

Not saying the offense is flawless, they have no running game for one, but defense is the bigger problem by far.

Not to go off topic but man those Horizon 3 scores :)

And hopefully Packers fix whatever offensive problems they have by Sunday. Rodgers needs to start slinging the ball more. Enough with these 5 second drop backs.

I hope we blitz Wentz and live with the results. He seems like he is going to pick you apart if you just let him stand back there and scan the field. The difference between a young player and a vet is the speed in which they process the game. Back when Dick was running the defense we pretty much never lost to young qb's because he would mix the coverage and bring a ton of heat. The Ravens are also going to be a tough one to play for rookies. They are also savages so they will try to end his career the way they did with RG3.

I still think we are favored, but it is definitely not going to be the cakewalk it looked to be at the start of the season. I could see the game being close and the Eagles even pulling it out.

If Wentz has a good game at home against us the fans are going to go apeshit.

You mean happy homer Tuesday's, those days were gr....now i laugh at those shit..
Those were the fucking days.

I would read several and take note of whoever was disrespecting my team. Fuck that guy! We just beat the Oilers by 13 points on the road!

I thought only children paid attention to those. But I guess Texan fans do as well.

So? I'm not saying he didn't play well, but Rodgers has an entire career worth of games where he faltered while behind. Before his recent poor play that was his biggest criticism - he can't win from behind.
so in order for him to be clutch, he has to play like shit so he can come back from a deficit - makes sense!

I'm not worried about Carson Wentz based on either of those two games. He has potential, but the Browns and Bears have been awful for years (almost two decades in the Browns case).

It's the defense i'm worried about - specifically Fletcher Cox. Steelers have a weird habit of...over respecting star players and trying to tiptoe around them instead of playing their game.

Never once said that.

Playing well /= clutch.

At some point you just have to let them have it, this is their Super Bowl. You need to treat them like sleepwalkers, it's dangerous to wake someone up when they are in the middle of the Texans Cycle.

Thing is, Wentz has been really good at reading the blitz.

We're definitely going to lose, but it will be nice to see how to does against a better defense.

And you guys need to protect big Ben. 2 weeks in and 2 qbs down against the eagles.

That's the thing though. Most rookie QBs get rattled when you bring pressure but Wentz seems to thrive in that situation. He does a great job of recognizing where the blitz is coming from and either setting his protection or getting the ball out quickly to his hot read. I mean, look at these numbers:

ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo
Carson Wentz is now 11-of-13 for 115 yards and a TD against 5 or more rushers this season (no sacks)

I'm not sure blitzing is the best way to confuse the kid. You are probably better off rushing 4 and then just trying to disguise your coverage as best as you can. He seems to struggle most when he has to sit back and go through all his progressions.
