Dude is reading Gaf confirmed!

Hey guys, is there a review that compares the game to Dirt Rally? Ever since I played Dirt Rally I find other racing games boring. I am only interested in how it measures against Dirt Rally before I buy.

I think since NPD has shit the bed SalesGAF has had to find other numbers by which to make sense of the world.

Unrelated note (I'm jumping in without reading the entire conversation here): SalesGAF people are getting more data then ever actually. And the lack of huge threads means less trolls. It's a huge win/win actually.

On topic: Looks good. Can't wait to pick it up.

lmao

This is the best way to deal with the ibtimes review guys. Ignore it or take it for what it is, an absolute joke that obviously does not reflect the quality of the game.

It's Microsoft's first Xbox One 90 or above Metascore. Took 3 years, like.

Ori and Inside are 90/91 respectively, though Inside is obviously across both platforms now.

I tend to take Opencritic more seriously than Metacritic anyway due to their different algorithm.

Ori is not 90, its 88 (which is amazing BTW, best ''indie-like'' from a first party this gen)

The game is at 90 metacritic. Congrats Microsoft! That's their first 90 metacritic exclusive game this gen!

Inside was 90+ but it was only exclusive for 2 months. :p

Game looks absolutely fantastic and likely the best racer of this gen thus far. Bummed I don't have an XB1 or gaming PC to play this on.

Yep I have to agree, I enjoy all his reviews on his channel That I've seen.

Karak makes the most thoughtful and deep reviews in the whole industry. No joke.

I ALWAYS look forward to them because he goes into very deep detail and talks about every aspect of the games he reviews.

So yeah, I really appreciate the work he puts into his reviews, it always shows. Really professional.

Sounds good. Need to see PC version though before I decide if buy or not. I'm hoping MS will make this a great PC version too.

I really get tired of these clickbait reviews. One reason I don't take overall scores too serious anymore. Best thing to do is not click on their review and just ignore it. Its sad it holds the overall score down, but that's what happens when metacritic accepts all these random unheard of sites to be put on their list.

Honestly I think it hurts these sites in the long run, and it doesn't really change perception. People still knows its a great game

Easy to see what sites need some hits.

Good for FH3 with those solid scores. Hard to make a game 3 times and have each one get better.

Some of you are way too invested in the metascore of this game. I am just happy it's apparently great and I can't wait to play it. I was already sold after the demo though.

The IB Times review has to be trolling, there's no justifications in the text for such a low score. It's basically No Fun Allowed - The Review.

Looking at the second lowest review (We Got This Covered 7/10), they at least explain what they didn't like, some of it relating to technical issues.

However, they seem to be the only ones talking about such issues.

Yes, that's actually a meaningful review. There is nothing wrong with it.

IB Times? LOL. Just trying to bed "edgy" or has an axe to grind.

Have you not read through the review threads of any major release? Esp the console-exclusive ones? This is tame compared to many.

Metro.co.uk

In Short: The best Forza Horizon so far, and thanks to its huge open world and infectious sense of fun one of the best arcade racers of the current gen.

Pros: A near endless range of events and race types, with a huge open world full of interesting details. Great graphics and fun handling model.

Cons: Drivatars can still be too erratic, especially off-road. Festival motif can be a bit obnoxious.

Score: 9/10

It won't stay at 90, it's very hard in any genre these days, but what was the last racer to score 90+? Seems almost impossible in this genre this gen.

Gears of War 4 can make that 90 also, Xbox One coming back to mimic 360 old days wich is fantastic! Forza Horizon has always been one of my favorite racers, bought the first and loved it, along with DriveClub those franchises are just all i need for racing, too bad one is never coming back.

Kudos to Microsoft for having such a powerhouse racing franchise.
