Forza Horizon 3: Review Thread

Been playing FH2 for a month now (LTTP XB1 owner) and I'm yet to get bored of it. Day one for FH3.
 
I'm a huge fan of FH1 and felt that FH2 was more of a step backwards. Reading a couple of reviews and watching the Gamespot video review, this really feels like another retread. What makes this better than its predecessors?

Also, I can't believe they didn't add pedestrians to the game. The city/town sections in FH2 always felt so dead and artificial when you're driving through these empty streets with not a single soul in sight.
 
Yeah, didn't think the best racing game this gen would be topped (FH2), bravo Playground Games, incredibly talented studio, Ghost of Blizzard creations.

The rumors may not be accurate, but FH3 was definitely rumored to be set in Japan.

Aside from the rumors, I would LOVE to have a Forza Horizon set in Japan. Tokyo, Kyoto, the mountains. Oh man it would be beautiful.

It's a racing game so I wouldn't worry about missing the last two. Both were incredible games and H2 is one of my favorites from this gen but you are fine just jumping in now.

You need to finish FH1 and 2 and all the DLC otherwise you won't understand what's going on. You should leave this thread before someone posts unmarked spoilers.

No. Nothing ever indicated it would be set in Japan. People wanted it, but there were never rumors.

Oh dude... A Forza game in Japan would be the hypest shit ever.
I would also finally have a use for my obnoxiously large Eurobeat playlist.

Those reviews... I didn't want to get the Ultimate Edition but it's so hard to resist now.

Guess I'll wait anyway because there is no guarantee that the PC port will run flawlessly like the XO version.

Hope to read some impressions on the PC port on friday.

And being at those and being big in subscriber numbers means nothing. This literally happens to every single reviewer even AJ has talked about it and he is massive in numbers.
In fact one thing I do like about some of these companies lately is they have been giving smaller channels(who do good vids) chances. That elevates EVERYONES coverage

Also most companies don't have issues with your reviews if your fair. MS knows I bombshelled Recore for instance lol. And I left a smoking crator where Halo MMC was and others.
Now that I think about it Ubisoft still talks to me which is stunning hahaha. EA...not so much

I don't think a horizons game would work that well - too built up and mountainous.

But how about a midtown madness style game with nipping down side streets and more focus on agility than crazy speed.

First game in Japan, sequel in France like GTI Club :)
 
IB Times lol, doubt they will get a review copies in the future from MS. The review itself is terribly written as well.

I literally just got excited again when you talked about mountains. When those rumors started I was so excited. HOPES DASHED.
For me at least I don't see how they couldn't easily do this. They have cut up major areas well in the passed and in this game. For me it would just add even more variation.
 
I'd like a game based in the UK. Cruising down blackpool beach front under the illuminations making your way down through Manchester, Birmingham to London. Lands end to John ogroats. Dicking about at Wembley stadium. I can dream.

If they could do a Crew like map of UK..Those Welsh and Scottish roads are incredible.
