Asked Mind factory for a code but the rep said I bought the card out of the time frame for this promotion but that I would qualify for €115 ingame stuff for Paragon, which I don't play. It's it worth asking Nvidia directly if they'll give me a GOW code?

Is there any sure way to know if your copy was obtained illegally? I too have that small file downloaded already, so I'd like to know if I should put in a return if there was any backdoor shady movements going on and if they'll revoke access for those in a similar position.

So do you think the codes I got for my friends that are now invalid will be made valid eventually? They didn't redeem them quickly enough. That'd be awesome if so.

I once preordered Bioshock Ultimate Songbird Edition from Game.uk and they cancelled the order super close to launch because of postage costs. But I had already redeemed the codes for Bioshock 1 & 2 plus that puzzle game that came with it, so at least I got some free stuff for my troubles I guess.

Guys you should have asked these retailers about these things. They are supposed to supply you with them, provided they are doing it.

If you haven't opened the card yet, you may want to verify if your store is even doing it at all before opening it.

If your order was primarily physical, they should have had a voucher to hand to you. if you did it primarily online, there's a chance it should have been emailed to you instead.

You mean you bought a prebuilt system that includes a 1070/1080? It would apply according to the article, haven't looked at the fine print myself.

Looking at their website, the offer is only on the cards themselves. Like look up your computer and then look up a 1080, it'll show only on the 1080's page.

It's SUPPOSED to be on general systems with the cards but it's going to to vary by retailer.

Very easy. Depending on the type of 970, you can get around $200-210 on Ebay for it as of August. Not sure if has gone down much in value since then. You can get a 1070 for around $400 if you get a non-factory overclocked edition but with a custom cooler (I think Asus and Gigabyte have some). Some places you can get it for less than $400, but they aren't an approved etailer for the GoW4 promotion.

I bought the Gigabyte g1 1070 as well and when using the code on nVidia's website I was told there was something wrong (with the system, not with my code or deal). nVidia rep via live chat immediately asked if the purchase was from Amazon. When I said yes, they said there is something wrong and I should try using the code later and that I could use it anytime without worrying of expiring since time of purchase would be logged on. Soon after that, I recieved and email from nVidia custome support saying they are on the issue (maybe it was an automated email since I recieved it immediately after the chat was closed).

I wouldn't worry about it if this is happening to someone else. Maybe an overload or a glitch or something.

P.S. I sure hope I can play with a pad hassle free on PC since I can't use a keboard.

Told them I don't pay for Amazon prime, then pay extra for 1 day shipping.......to get bait and switched.... And if no reasonable recourse...I will be returning it

I was in two minds about ordering and now I'm very very pissed off

Tried to message gigabyte via their website and via Twitter as well

Will keep your guys updated on what happens

My SLI maxwells may have to keep on running till volta after all...I was really upgrading as nothing seems to have SLI support any more

Bought an EVGA FTW GTX 1070 last monday, which was in stock and the product page displayed the Gears of Wars 4 promo banner. It's been two days and they still haven't shipped the card, not only that, they also removed the Gears promo banner (but it still appears on other graphic cards..) and to make it even funnier they raised the card price around 70€. I sent them an email asking them what's going on with my order, so I can only wait.

That's what it sounds like. They are deactivated as of now.

Just wait for the situation to be sorted. We're only a few days removed from this all happening. There's no point buying it at full price anytime soon since its not even out for a couple of more weeks.

My guess is they'll start reactivating or even reissuing codes shortly before launch.

Is there anyway to get amazon to up their promotion page? Nvidia told me they can't generate keys and amazon won't admit that they were having the promotion at all.
