Gears of War 4 coming free with Nvidia 1070 & 1080s through Oct 30

Spoke to Nvdia, and they claimed that only certain retailers offer a code with pre-built desktops with a 1070. Which is why Micro Center had no idea about the promotion.

That kinda sucks.
 
Ive got an Amazon code and it's making me sad that you are all having as much trouble as I am. Hopefully they fix this soon because where I live my internet speed is 3mbps so it's gonna literally take days for me to download this game.
 
How exactly do you preload this on the xbox one? Ive downloaded the 100mb game app, that says "preordered" but when I click it, it says something like "please wait, this isnt released yet".

Uninstall the placeholder file, then go into your Ready to Install list and the full preload will be available to install.
 
I picked up a GTX1070 today and received a key to be redeemed via https://redeem.geforce.com/

The key was issued today, it's accepted on that Nvidia's page, I stopped before tying it to a Microsoft account.

Guess I'm okay? Now to find someone who actually wants that game. I'm not really interest.

Amazon.fr just shipped my EVGA GTX 1070 FTW, and a minute later I the also sent me and email with the redemption key for Gears of Wars 4. Will try to redeem it..

EDIT: yes, apparently it works :D

Keys from other retailers are working fine on the Nvidia site.

Apparently only the amazon ones now don't activate on the promotion site.

Anyone else who preloaded on Xbox One have the game show up as 104mb but the actual game fully downloaded and when attempting to copy it says it needs the full 54GB?

Yea, everyone has. It's a bug. I've downloaded it twice to make sure it downloaded the full 54GB. It's there. We shall definitely see come launch. Smh.

Holy hell put your pitch forks down guys. I figured it wouldn't work so as soon as I got that out of the way I figured I'd just mess with the guy a bit. Figured the Crash Course bit would have been a dead giveaway. BTW, I don't think it's an insane request to be able to upgrade digital versions of games.

They don't magically have those options and certain company policies may have gotten the guy fired if he had done that. Don't put that on the CSR.

Actually? Yes. They can't do that, I don't know who you think you're talking to, but it'd just a customer rep. They don't have access to just print codes, give out credit, and do things like that. You acted like a jerk to the person after that. I get that it was funny to you, and the exchange is a little funny, but it's still really rude.

Major fixes out to the Windows Store to address download issues related to updates and preloads.

Get the latest update from available now in Windows Update. You'll know if you have the update by seeing 14393.222 if you do start-->winver
 
So I got a code from Amazon during the free code bonanza and registered it, then got a code from the place where I bought my 1070 two weeks ago. I've been holding on to the second code in order to sell it on ebay, but I see now that Nvidia has taken down the website?

Any chance it will come back up, or should I contact them?
