Unlikely. It has already had a distribution by code and a distribution by Wi-Fi this gen in NA. That public Hoopa took longer than I was expecting (Summer) for NA but better late than never I guess.

Just need a Diancie event, and the announcement of the western Magearna event, and then we're all set for Mythicals this year
Awesome, just told my friends about this. Hope I can get a spare US Volcanion code from some kind GAFfer.
Is there any way to save, transfer, or get extra space for these things? Deleting them seems like such a waist.

Do you think at the end of the year they'll maybe have a blowout of sorts and have every Mythical distributed so anyone can get them? Maybe with QR codes for Sun and Moon so you'd at least have the dex info?

I think this is the biggest kind of blowout distribution we will ever get, unfortunately. Store exclusive distribution sucks and is a gigantic middle finger to millions of players in the world.

Not surprising, nearly the same code was available for Europe last month...
Not sure for US, but it seems than in EU, store exclusives are just time exclusives...
Shiny xerneas/yvetal were exclusives in France to a japanese conference, though
generally, any Nintendo events that are "US only" are the entire america continent. any country within the continent can access them since the games are all the US version in america.

Didnt know about this till now :/ I did manage to get Hoopa, Darkrai and Keldeo.
I think it doesn't allow items by design... To avoid being able to transfer megastones, maybe, among other things?
For wonder cards, couldn't they rather update the games? I guess there's still some room on the card for a couple dozen bytes?

No. That time has long passed, it was released through codes in a Pokemon Trainer's Club Newsletter. Darkrai is the first time that they're doing universal events related to the Gamestop legendary releases.
