I haven't been following this stuff super closely but does anyone kinda feel like Sony is sending the psvr out to die?

Oh damn, I just tucked myself up in bed. Hmmmmm, hopefully this is archived quickly/last live show link works, this will be a bloody perfect companion for work tomorrow.

It seems crazy to me this is launching without any big games to go with it.

All VR headsets are cool from a technical perspective but man do they need some decent software to go with it.

Are the Giant Bomb guys demoing all of these titles today on stock PS4s, PS4 Pros or both? Would appreciate their direct impressions on how well these titles perform on one versus the other.

What do you mean by big? There are lots of games launching with it. It's a really good lineup.

I'm pretty sure almost no one outside of Sony has a PS4P right now.

Uhm, there are no pros out there yet.

Batman VR, Battlezone, Driveclub, RIGS, Until Dawn all seem like *big* games.

No one has a Pro, so there is your answer.

There aren't any PS4 pros outside of Sony right now.

Ha, this should be fun. Not necessarily for the reasons some people expect, but still.
The Rift and Vive one were for sure.

Can't wait although debating. I don't want spoilers but want to get as many impressions of the games as possible. Out of this weekend and next, glad Hurricane Matthew is knocking on my door this weekend!

I love that the crew is crazy enough to just stream all day as soon as the embargo ends.

I think they realize that this could bring then a lot of new eyes.

Apparently the last 2 VR streams were pretty successful and this is the more mainstream headset of the 3.

The most impressive of those are existing games that most people have played.

I mean a Wii Sports type of game, built from the ground up to prove the concept.

At the moment, VR games are either adaptions of existing games, or fairly unimpressive tech demos.

I was hopeful Sony would have put a bit more weight behind it but I guess the justification isn't there yet.

Sony barely bankrolling big games for one of the most successful console launches of all time. No chance for an accessory that may do a million or so.

WTF is this shit?

I'm going to bed in a minute but I'm looking forward to checking out the recording tomorrow. I'm guessing they'll have access to most of the launch games?

Just want some unhyped honest impressions and I'm hoping they'll be the place for that

Sure they are. I love GB but it surely seems like they don't even enjoy videogames sometimes. I think it's a matter of having very high standards but also a bit of snobbery tbh.

In the end that's OK because i follow easy allies too, which are like the polar opposite of that, and that helps a lot when making decisions on whether a certain game will be right up my alley or not.
