Giant Bomb PSVR stream | It's always Summer in PlayStation VR Nation

I remember the tracking issues being pretty noticeable back in March. Shame they couldn't iron out these issues in time.

It will be super interesting to see what the PC community can do to improve the tracking with higher quality cameras. Or if it's just a flaw in the headset's design.

Is Jeff on a boat?

There is no way that this is normal, I mean I'm sure more reviewers would mention it.

How many examples do we have of broken games releasing with gushing reviews that don't mention any of the biggest issues?

And when it comes to Sony or Microsoft first party it's usually worse.

Already thinking of canceling my pre-order. The headset itself seems terrific, but the tracking stuff with the camera + controllers seems like a massive, massive problem that you'd think would be fixed before release. Really disappointed to see the hardware has such significant issues.

I'm hoping they woudl have had a quick test prior to the stream. if its fucked there is basically no point demoing the games as they'll all be tainted.

Have they shown their setup? Do they have lots of lights or possible interference around them? (can't watch as I'm at work)

Can't believe sony would have gone to all the trouble of 90-120Hz refresh and reprojection etc and then screw up the basic headset tracking. The PS4 camera should be decent enough in terms of refresh rate - isn't it pretty much designed with VR in mind?

This is not $60 game, we are talking about $400 hardware here. I tried PSVR two times in controlled environment so I guess I will see how it is in about a week.

Read some other reviews. There are tracking issues in general, but none of the other reviewers have mentioned anything like this.

Something is clearly wrong here. Yes, other reviewers have mentioned some OCCASIONAL tracking issues, but nothing like this.

What worries me is that Jeff's in a barren room with a green screen behind him. I wonder how this would deal with my tiny gaming area. Maybe being more confined / close to the sensors help it and lessen the shake?
