Giant Bomb PSVR stream | It's always Summer in PlayStation VR Nation

So far what I'm seeing is that there are tracking issues, as evidence by batman waist.

Could the luminous green screen be causing some of these issues?

Not trying to make excuses, just curious as to why tracking problems this severe haven't been noticed already, or seemingly haven't affected other outlets as badly.

For the jittery controllers couldn't you implement a sort of deadzone in the capture software to prevent it ?

There is no "center" to deadzone with a 6DOF controller. You can average input to smooth it out, but that has side effects with reducing responsiveness. It's a balance of getting responsiveness while weeding out input noise. The level of noise that was being shown though is impossible to filter out.

Come on, enough Arkham. Show other stuff. I'm leaving for work soon.

Tracking seems really bad on that thing. Wonder if using the Move light tech will ended up being a huge mistake.

And now it's working fine for Brad. If anything the tracking seems to be at least fickle.

This Batman game looks bad though.

Batman does make the tracking look mostly better, especially with Brad using it. The waist thing is from sitting down.

Don't like the game though, looks fun to fuck around in, but that's what Job Simulator is for.

Biggest problem with all of VR for me is that no company seems willing to take a risk and invest significant money into software

Wow that review thread is getting ugly. VR is going to be in thousands of homes in non-controlled environments with different elements at play and some people don't want to accept there might be some problems with tracking for some users.

Also they have tested 2 other VR headsets on stream for 10+ hours each with pretty much the same set up and had little to no problems. Hopefully it will be better for most people but this is an important thing to see.

That's my assumption. It's a tracking system that uses colored lights and they're in a studio with a bunch of colored lights all around.

Played a fair amount of PSVR across two different units in the last couple of days and tracking has been nowhere near as bad as this is making it look. No instances of nausea and no major tracking issues across multiple users and games. Their setup seems to be doing it no favours here...

lol @ at all the people flaming the GB staff in the review thread because of their less than stellar impressions.

Definitely been a VR optimist all this time, but feeling underwhelmed especially by the impressions of the staff. Was planning on going to a midnight launch next week, now not so sure. Definitely trust all the dude's impressions more than other personalities in the industry

He bends down to look at his waist, You can literally see it on the GIF you have in your post. The game looks down at the waist as well.
I am not sure how this is considered a tracking issue?

Is it not very immersive since you have a floating belt with no body? Sure.
But it appears to be tracking the movement to me.
