Giant Bomb PSVR stream | It's always Summer in PlayStation VR Nation

WTF is Brad doing, guy seems like he doesn't know how to play videogames. I thought he said he played tumble before.

Yeah, he didn't spend a lot of time on it. I'd like to see some more impressions on that.

He took his glasses off for the sole purpose of being able to tighten the headset further without smoshing the glasses against his face lol

The threads moved from everyone assuming they were doing it wrong to everyone suggesting they got two faulty headsets

i love you neogaf

Well, Eurogamer essentially confirmed they had a faulty headset so it when you see two headsets with the same issues, with one being confirmed faulty, it's a pretty natural jump.

I've got mine preordered from Amazon with release date delivery so I'm gonna keep it. That said, if it's faulty I imagine I may have to wait a bit for a replacement which would really suck.

I sadly missed out on the preorder, so I may see if this theory of Kotaku, Eurogamer and GB's headsets being faulty proves to be true. I will still go for a headset next week, but if I can't get one, I won't be too concerned like I originally was.

The GB guys are calling it like they see it, but Eurogamer did good in pointing out that this might be a problem not with the setup that GB has, but literally because they have faulty headsets.

This did struck me as odd. I've tried these in a bunch of different gamestops and best buys with different lighting conditions and they have had no tracking issues to the severity that Jeff was getting on his headset.

Yeah, it looks like it's pointing away for some reason.

If that's the case though, then how many faulty headsets are out there?

Now it's just a matter of if it's 'struck-by-lightning' unlucky or 'red-ring-of-death' unlucky.

Yeah, it's not exactly a good sign. And because a lot of people will literally get sick if they get a faulty headset it could be a huge shit storm if it's a bigger problem.

Could just be the preview ones really which would be a fault of Sony. Working in VR right now, we have the Oculus Touch engineering samples here in the studio, but it's a possibility what they were given were also engineering samples as well albeit faulty ones. I don't know for sure. What seems clear is that there's something wrong with their hardware.

I would have just expected more previews bringing this up earlier since these have been in BB and Gamestops around the country since June.

Graphically in general, none of the software looks great on screen to me. But it's hard for me to say how it would look in the headset.

I thought Batman looked all right.

I imagine games would look blurry/fuzzy in the headset, due its low resolution. I wish GB talked about the more technical stuff. Nobody has said like whoa 120fps or anything like that? :P

But if it's that easy to make the thing misbehave...

This feels like Kinect 1 launch all over again.

Kinect was a bad piece of tech that required immense user effort.

This, if these are faulty units, is simply units not working as intended when there are working units out there.

Very different scenarios. The former cannot be fixed. The latter is hopefully a temporary issue.

This makes me sad and considering canceling. I also have a small room so I don't think this will work well for me... 😔😔

Hopefully there's a ton of local mulitplayer stuff for PSVR, because this looks fun.
All I've seen so far in general is Tumble and Playroom VR for those sort of experiences.

Edit: oh yeah and keep talking nobody explodes!

This is terrifying please don't let these issues be common.
I really want VR to succeed and if this comes out and lots of people get sick then it could ruin the consume confidence in VR.
