This emails shit is so tiring. The only people that really care are the ones who already hate Hillary.
Pretty important.
I'm still confused as to if she did something illegal or not.
Literally the paragraph after bang bang posted said:Meredith McGehee, chief of policy, programs, and strategy at the nonpartisan advocacy group Issue One and an expert on ethics and campaign finance, said the email exchange would probably raise no legal concerns because federal law permits members of the White House staff to engage in some political activity.
That makes her smart
That we are talking about this at all.
I'm still confused as to if she did something illegal or not.
That's exactly what certain people want. Blur the lines, put corruption in people's heads when they think of Clinton. Regardless of what really happened.
Do you think anyone actually cares about this email thing aside from people using it as ammo against the Dems/Hillary?
I'm still confused as to if she did something illegal or not.

What am I supposed to be outraged about here?
In the sense that it's not important in any way. In fact if there had been no communication at all, that would be far more concerning.
Didn't Obama say he first found out about the server through the news? Does this change that?
WASHINGTONNewly disclosed emails show top Obama administration officials were in close contact with Hillary Clintons nascent presidential campaign in early 2015 about the potential fallout from revelations that the former secretary of state used a private email server.
Nope. See the first sentence of the article...
If we can have a thread every time Trump changes his mind on something and no one questions that, I don't see why new news on Hilary doesn't deserve a thread.

Illegal? no
Morally bankrupt? yes
I don't care how much she trots out the "ah shucks" garbage to play this down, IMO it was a blatant attempt to dodge FOIA requests, which is the same reason why Powell did the same thing btw.
EDIT: Before it happens, yes I am voting for Clinton. I'm just not a fucking stan.

It's morally bankrupt for someone to contact thier boss and party after a potential issue arises? Because that's essentially what this is.
So uh, why is this not important?
I'm serious, you can go through my post history if you want, I'm not a Trump supporter. I just want to know why people don't seem to think this is important at all. In my completely uninformed opinion, it sounds important.
The only important thing here is that it's October and the GOP is still screeching about the damn emails.Pretty important.
I'm not talking about this thread. I'm talking about the scandal in general, which is what I assumed said poster I was responding to was talking about.
I wonder if there's a self aware mail saying 'guys, maybe we shouldn't use email to try to cover up the email scandal'
then obama answers 'come on bro, this time we secured the server'
The OP specifically believed this was "pretty important", I was curious if he had reasons why he believed so.News deserves a thread. If it ain't important it will sink in the pages.
You're keeping it at the top of the first page in the OT (and I am as well, by responding to you).
I don't see anything exactly scandalous in the OP but the scandals against Clinton aren't really heavy on the details usually, just keeping her name associated with scandals.
But there's nothing being covered up here.
Or even allegations of anything illegal having been done.
I mean maybe, but I think it's safer to assume someone is referring to a thread they are posting in? But I might be wrong, I dunno, he may have been asking in general

Make the case, how is it important?
"Sounds important" has been the bane of intelligent thought this season.
It's not. Basically all that happened is the story broke and she contacted the leader of the Democratic Party to work on dealing with the fallout. The president is always the party leader. Nothing indicates he attempted a cover up just that he worked on minimizing the damage of a potentially damaging story.
1. All this information was obtained by Republicans via FOIA, i.e. Anyone has access to it. It wasn't hidden.
2. It states the White House was in contact with Clinton regarding this issue after it was discovered. That's literally it.
