I was incredibly anxious before the first debate. This morning, I'm a little excited. Hopefully today will go by faster compared to last time.

One thing that needs to happen in the debate: Hillary burying the Juanita Broaddrick angle. Republicans all over twitter love to tout how Hillary intimidated and bullied Bill's alleged rape victim into silence, but I want everyone to remember, this was the account of Hillary's "intimidation".
"[Hillary] came directly to me as soon as she hit the door. I had been there only a few minutes, I only wanted to make an appearance and leave. She caught me and took my hand and said 'I am so happy to meet you. I want you to know that we appreciate everything you do for Bill.' I started to turn away and she held onto my hand and reiterated her phrase -- looking less friendly and repeated her statement — 'Everything you do for Bill'. I said nothing. She wasn't letting me get away until she made her point. She talked low, the smile faded on the second thank you. I just released her hand from mine and left the gathering."
This is basically nothing, and seems to likely be a misunderstanding, or clear embellishment. Seriously, it's time to kill this Broaddrick stuff Trump is pushing, because it's all he has left.

Trump probably feels like John Snow facing the Bolton army at winterfell. Hes gonna come out swinging like his entire professional career depends on it.

Legitimately did not know that the debate was co-moderated until this thread.

He's going to attack GOP leadership on stage in front of 80 million people isn't he?
Drink an entire bottle of booze if he calls Paul Ryan a coward.

Trump has surrounded himself with so many yes-men I highly doubt he feels that he's going to get less than 80% of votes. To him, he's already the President.

Which is why tonight will be so much fun. He's going to say anything, not because he feels that he needs to, but because he feels that he can.

Popcorn is mandatory.

Who's going to play Snow's brother captured by Crooked Killary and be taken out with arrow? Christie? Pence? Melania?

Aiite so.

What's the over/under on "pussy-grabbing" being Anderson's very first question to Trump, giving him a minute or two to explain himself?

Or will they try to hold the question until half way through to hold onto the ratings?

Oh no...they're not going to blow their load right away...it will be at least halfway in, and it will be glorious.

So I've been working with both campaigns off and on for the last couple of days here at the university. There's a stark contrast in attitudes between each side. Trump's staff has thus far been unorganized and irritated while Clinton's staff are pleasant to a degree where it's almost like they've accepted victory. And that was before Trump's latest gaffe.

Found out AJE and BBC will be broadcasting the debate in South Africa. So my friends and I are waking up at 3 to have a jolly ol' time Trump explode again! Cheers!

Considering getting up at 3am to witness this madness

They genuinely believe unhinged is the way to go, and that the calm collected manner has stifled government for too long. It's kind of the blow shit up methodology of dealing with reality.

Speaking about Trump supporters and being unhinged, I've been watching 4chan's /pol/ board occasionally just to gauge how the upper extremes of the Trump supporters are reacting to all this recent news. It's utterly, utterly fascinating and very scary too.

A few tidbits:

They were the board that actively used all manner of bots to skew every poll in favor for Trump. They continue to cling HEAVILY to the single LA Times poll that has Trump still in the lead. They think everything in the media is a giant (often jewish) conspiracy aimed to bring down Trump. They think the leaked Podesta emails are filled with felonies and crimes committed directly by H. Clinton. They think Bill Clinton is a confirmed actual rapist. They think any pro-Hillary comment is a paid Hillary Shill from 'Correct The record' (CTR). They think women shouldn't be allowed to vote. They think Clinton would bring about a nuclear holocaust. They have 'I hate [insert ethnicity here]' threads are on the front page 24/7.

And worst of all, they all genuinely keep brainwashing each other with this narrative. Anything outside of the walls of that website that isn't completely in favor or absolute racism or Trump is considered degenerate, biased and part of a big conspiracy. There are some absolute fucking nutcases there. It's revolting to realize that those kind of mentalities roam free and are able to actually influence an election somehow.

And sure enough, there are threads there that try to influence the presidential debate questions. They will try virtually anything to make sure Trump doesn't get asked questions that will make him look bad. And with the amount of visitors the board has, they often manage to mass spam enough so that they actually wield a bit of power.

It's truly amazing. I checked out the Trump subreddit this morning and some people genuinely think that bringing up the bunk "fact" that Bill Clinton is a rapist is going to help Trump. They think Hillary can't do anything about it. It's absolutely insane what some people have deluded themselves into believing. No matter how much Hillary destroys Trump on every talking point, they will still say she lost.

That's it? For real? Jesus. Hillary was a model of restraint there.

As someone else said elsewhere, anyway, Melania is Hillary's trump card if Trump goes hard on this angle. She can talk about the challenges of infidelity within a family, empathise with Melania and her family directly, turning things right back around onto the source of the problems - the man, Trump in this case.
