It is definitely a bit late in happening for us CET folks, but definitely worth staying up for. I will be probably quite wrecked the next day sadly so I will not be very productive for finishing up my thesis work.... I turn it in on the 19th though, so it is not the worst thing.

I have a feeling the endeavor won't be in for the initial MMO launch. I'd say the Hull C would be a good bet for day one earning. (I do have an endeavor though, since the concept's appealing)
Edit: oh, exploration. Yeah, probably the carrack then.

Damn, makes me want a playable showroom where you walk around exploring every corner and fiddling with all the ships. Fuck the rest of the game, give me that.

Oh really? Do we have confirmation that not all ships will be ready for release? I didn't know that.

Nothing against Discord, but we really should use our Twitch chat channel (Citcon2015_gaf) during the livestream. It's much more convenient and practical for watching the stream and commenting at the same time, especially for us lowly single monitor folk. Last time we ended up using both and it wasn't a great experience.

I know there's a hangar, but it's pretty much a given I'm never going to own every ship, hence my post ;P

I'm also talking hypothetically about all the finished ships with bells and whistles and functioning systems of course.

So will they continue to give out loaners for ships not in the game yet even after release? The Andromeda is currently the only ship I own. If I upgrade it to an Endeavor, I don't plan on buying additional ships outside of in game.

The larger capital ships wont even be player ownable, so that's not much of an issue. And there's a reason that the biggest player ownable ships came with the VFG - space docking outside of the asteroid.

Ships larger than the Javelin are fully persistent and will exist on the servers 24/7. Players will be able to take one and use it, but they'd have to have a presence to defend it forever. You're talking a multi org operation at least, and one hell of a logistics issue.

The only problem I have with Twitch is new guys have to be invited to the channel, whereas I can just put a Discord link in the Citizencon OT.

On the one hand, I get it, it's the most stable version so they're going to use it to show new backers.

On the otherhand, Citizencon is mostly for existing backers, we can take a few bugs if you show us the next PTU build lol.

Which is why we should use Discord before (and after) the stream, to get everybody invited, and switch to Twitch once it kicks off, as based KKRT00 suggested.

So do we know what's actually going to be shown today? I know we're going to see a SQ42 mission, which sounds great. They showed quite a bit off at gamescom so i wonder how they're going to beat that.

We're going to see almost full mission, so we start with our character waking up, then you go to the briefing, then to get your gear, then to your ship, fly to the mission, then go EVA and FPS stuff.
They will also show Star Marine, which will release in few weeks in 2.6 and procedural planets V2 tech, with earth like planet that will have several biomes - desert, jungle, arctic etc.

Durante's post about the psychology of "max settings" could be a good topic for someone.

Stream will be 4pm here on dinner day for Canadian thanksgiving - think that puts me in "put your phone away!" time sadly.

I actually do have a dedicated portion of the work talking about technological and graphical fetish. No joke. It hits waaaaaay close to home for me.
